We’re looking for an experienced operations lead to lead one of our Sanctions Operations teams in Tallinn. 

Our Sanctions Operations Team is responsible for reviewing all potential violations of OFAC, EU, UK and other sanctions programs processed through Wise, and escalating cases for further review where required. Your mission will be to develop and manage a high performing team of operational agents that allows us to build compliant processes putting our customers first. While doing so, the development of our service level, the globalisation of Wise and the scalability of operations is always in your mind.

 

Here’s how you’ll be contributing to the Sanctions Screening team: 

  • Hire, lead, develop and manage a high performing Sanctions operational team
  • Measure team's KPIs, plan capacity and maintain focus on customer experience; as well as taking ownership of various projects
  • Develop effective operational processes, task allocation and performance management
  • Be accountable for quality assurance of your team, take decisions within our policy framework and work with compliance to evolve both our policies and processes
  • Work across various teams contributing to operational enhancements and ensuring compliance to applicable regulations
  • Collaborate with fellow leads and specialists to foster creativity, innovation and up-skilling across team levels

About you: 

  • You’re legally authorised to work in Estonia, we are unable to sponsor visa for this role
  • Your verbal and written English skills are excellent, additional language skill is a plus
  • You have previous management experience in operations
  • You have previous work experience in a financial sector or similar, sanctions experience is a plus
  • You can multitask and take charge in different situations
  • You have the ability to build and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally
  • You have great communication and presentations skills to assist on internal and external projects and audits
  • You have the ability to analyse and move team’s metrics, while assisting different area specialists
  • You have a proven track record of taking ownership as well as being a great team-player
  • You are able to persevere in a fast paced environment
