The Security Agent Supervisor role at the Perris campus assumes a critical role in leading and supporting security agents. The primary objective is to uphold Wayfair's commitment to fostering a safe and secure work environment. This position necessitates a thorough comprehension of security protocols and measures to ensure compliance and adherence to policies and procedures.

As a security subject matter expert, this role collaborates with site leadership to drive security programs, protocols, and standards. This entails generating options, offering recommendations, and cultivating best practices. Reporting directly to the GLOSS Campus Manager, this role is indispensable in preserving a secure environment at the Perris campus, situated in the broader Riverside County area.

 

What You’ll Do 

  • Lead a team of security agents (up to 18 people), overseeing hiring, training, performance management, and ensuring payroll compliance.
  • Ensure Wayfair security agents adhere to documented role responsibilities and problem solve to address any gaps in coverage.
  • Monitor alarms, manage access control, observe CCTV, and support events protecting Wayfair’s Perris campus operations, property, and assets.
  • Plan and coordinate risk mitigation measures to address threat escalations and minimize impact on people and operations.
  • Act as the key point of contact for first responders in the event of a serious incident, performing key threat mitigation and emergency response duties as assigned.
  • Maintain detailed records of communications and events, including incident tracking and incident case management.
  • Manage sensitive incidents while preserving company and individual confidentiality.
  • Support the GLOSS Campus Manager in GLOSS related initiatives and investigations.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for GLOSS-related issues, collaborating and communicating with site leadership and external stakeholders to solve cross functional challenges.
  • Enable execution of crisis management and emergency response programs, ensuring preparedness among security personnel, management, and employees.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with the GLOSS team members.

What You’ll Need

  • Proven leader that is able to lead multiple people, solve problems and make sound decisions during complex situations. Preferably in security, law enforcement or military fields.
  • 2+ years leading security personnel with scheduling and workforce management.
  • Be an experienced professional with highest standards of trust, discipline and professionalism.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Familiarity with technology and ability to quickly learn new programs in access management technologies such as Lenel and cameras systems.
  • Proficient computer skills with familiarity in Microsoft Excel and Google Suites. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Strong understanding of relevant California State security regulations and standards
  • Certified First responder or certified in CPR/First Aid/AED, a plus
  • Working knowledge of risk management best practices, policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to stand and or walk in a variety of weather and terrain conditions, physically demanding conditions for shifts up to 10 hours.
  • Be able to work effectively in warehouse environments with hot and cold conditions, as well as loud noises.
  • Ability to travel within your assigned area of responsibility. Occasional overnight travel may be required as needed.   
  • Flexibility to work shifts and respond to incidents outside of regular business hours, as needed.
  • This is an onsite role with 40 hours that vary across multiple shifts as the needs of the business change to operational requirements.
