We’re in an unbelievably exciting area of tech and are fundamentally reshaping the data storage industry. Here, you lead with innovative thinking, grow along with us, and join the smartest team in the industry.
This type of work—work that changes the world—is what the tech industry was founded on. So, if you're ready to seize the endless opportunities and leave your mark, come join us.
THE ROLE As a Security Product Manager for FlashArray, you will be the primary architect of the security posture for Pure’s flagship storage platform. You will lead the strategy for hardening our infrastructure, navigating the complex landscape of global compliance, and building “secure-by-design” features that protect the world’s most sensitive data. Collaborating with the CTO office and Engineering, you will transform rigorous security standards into a high-performance competitive advantage that wins the trust of enterprise and government customers. WHAT YOU’LL DO- Define the Security Roadmap: Lead the end-to-end vision for security features, including encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and multi-tenancy, ensuring FlashArray exceeds the requirements of the most highly regulated industries.
- Architect Compliance & Certifications: Drive the strategy for obtaining and maintaining critical industry certifications (e.g., FIPS, Common Criteria, FedRAMP), translating complex regulatory frameworks like NIST and GDPR into technical product requirements.
- Manage Vulnerability Lifecycle: Own the product response to the evolving threat landscape, including CVE tracking, impact assessment, and the prioritization of security patches to maintain the integrity of the FlashArray install base.
- Engineer Competitive Differentiation: Partner with Marketing and Sales to translate “under-the-hood” security protocols into compelling value propositions, positioning Pure as the industry benchmark for data resilience and cyber-security.
- Orchestrate Stakeholder Alignment: Act as the authoritative voice on security for the executive team, providing strategic guidance on risk management, product tradeoffs, and long-term security investments.
- Deep Security Domain Expertise: Advanced technical command of encryption standards, authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, LDAP), and authorization frameworks, with a proven ability to apply these to enterprise storage or distributed systems.
- Regulatory Acumen: Deep familiarity with global security regulations and frameworks (NIST, EU Cybersecurity Act, PCI-DSS) and the ability to navigate the certification process for enterprise-grade hardware and software.
- Strategic Product Leadership: A consistent track record of developing security visions and execution plans at scale, balancing the “friction” of security with the need for high-performance user experiences.
- Executive Influence: Exceptional communication skills and executive presence, capable of leading cross-functional teams through high-stakes security incidents or complex architectural shifts.
- Location: We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
