We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant - Accounts Payable (d/f/m). 

You will be playing an important role in our Core Accounting team, actively contributing to the development of the Accounts Payable function and accompanying us on our continued growth path.

Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

  • You are responsible for fixed assets and work cross-functionally with other departments to optimize the process across all company departments.
  • You are responsible for payroll accounting and you work with the Payroll and Controlling teams to ensure the correctness of personnel costs.
  • You perform the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts as well as their sub-ledgers ensuring the correct presentation of the data in the financial statements.
  • You contribute to month-end closings, year-end closings and audit in the area of accounts payable with focus on compliance, quality and deadlines.
  • You participate in various projects and make impact driving process optimization, digitalization and implementation of system changes.

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

  • You have a proven track record of at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the field of accounting.
  • You have an excellent understanding of accounting regulations according to HGB and IFRS.
  • You efficiently use Excel / Google Sheets to perform your daily tasks.
  • You have excellent knowledge of ERP systems (Workday is an advantage).
  • Ideally, you have experience in the area of intercompany accounting.
  • You are characterized by a precise and careful way of working and a hands-on mentality.
  • You manage stakeholders at multiple levels and ensure a shared understanding of goals and expectations in terms of accounts payable processes.
  • You are fluent in English and German and you have a thoughtful, structured, and transparent communication style.
