We see ourselves as co-pilot of our business leaders and partner collaboratively with the entire organization, to enable data-driven decision-making by providing thoughtful analysis and insights. We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant - Accounts Payable (m/f/d). You will be playing an important role in our Core Accounting team, actively contributing to the development of the Accounts Payable function and accompanying us on our continued growth path.Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring accurate execution of accounting 
• Collaboration on monthly and annual financial statements (HGB) in the area of accounts payable in compliance with deadlines
• Responsible for the payment runs and the corresponding reconciliation of the banks
• Being in charge of expense management (checking and posting travel costs and expenses, including monthly reconciliation)
• Monitoring and reconciliation of accrual postings 
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts as well as their sub-ledgers
• Performing ad-hoc analyses and reconciliation of monthly and annual financial statements (HGB) for quality assurance and generation of management insights
• Participation in various projects in the area of interface and process optimization, digitalization and implementation of legal changes
• Being the contact person for colleagues, tax advisors and auditors 

• You have a degree in business administration (ideally with a focus on accounting) or comparable commercial education with further qualification as a qualified accountant. 
• You have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the field of accounting
• You have comprehensive knowledge of accounting regulations according to HGB 
• Ideally, you have experience in the area of intercompany accounting
• You have very good knowledge in the use of Excel / Google Sheets
• You have good knowledge of ERP systems (Workday is an advantage)
• You are proactive and able to communicate the relevance of proper accounting to your colleagues
• You are characterized by a precise and careful way of working and a hands-on mentality
• You are willing to take responsibility and develop yourself further
• You speak excellent German (C1) and are fluent in written and spoken English
