EM4, a Luminar Company is searching for a Senior GL Accountant to work in our Bedford, MA office. What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare customer invoices, apply cash receipts, follow up on collections, reconcile customer accounts and maintain AR aging schedule
  • Process vendor invoices, perform 3-way match before payment is made, reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Set-up payments and perform monthly cash and bank reconciliations, including T&E corporate credit cards reconciliation
  • Prepare payroll journal entries based on the reports from HR/Payroll team
  • Perform monthly accruals
  • Provide Cost Accounting Support as needed
  • Prepare month-end close deliverables, including but not limited to journal entries, account reconciliations, and fluctuation analyses
  • Execute internal controls relating to Procure to Pay and Order to Cash processes
  • Respond to audit requests and interface with the Company’s internal and external auditors
  • Participate in ERP implementation project
  • Proactively identify, develop, and implement process improvements to achieve efficiencies and scalability
  • Continuously improves compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
  • Other duties and special projects, as assigned

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; preferred
  • Knowledge and/or experience of  Procure to pay and Order to Cash process
  • 2+ years of demonstrable and relevant Accounting or Finance experience - GL Acct
  • 4+ years of demonstrable and relevant Accounting or Finance experience - Sr GL Acct
  • Close process experience; required
  • SYSPRO experience; preferred
  • QuickBooks; required
  • Oracle; required
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP; required
  • Demonstrable knowledge of SOX; required
  • Advanced and demonstrable Excel experience; required
  • Ability to push, pull or lift 10 pounds
  • Other task as assigned
