Reporting to the Manager, Business Operations, this role will provide operational support to CIC’s Engineering organization. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys organizing and optimizing processes and tools in a fast-paced, iterative environment.

What you’ll be doing 

  • Help develop and manage documentation of departmental best practice policies and team playbooks
  • Support internal vendor management processes for vendor onboarding and renewals, liaising between Okta’s procurement team and business owners for these vendors
  • Build and maintain our internal knowledge base(s) to ensure information is relevant and up-to-date while providing a seamless employee experience
  • Identify and execute operational improvements to increase efficiency and responsiveness across the organization through process improvement, project planning and stakeholder management
  • Coordinate organization-wide meetings and activities for users across multiple time zones, including All Hands meetings, social activities, etc.
  • Source content and write copy for internal blogs and newsletters
  • Plan key events including team offsites and conferences
  • Collaborate and build strong relationships with internal partners and employees
  • Manage ad-hoc projects and initiatives, as needed
  • Strictly maintain confidential and sensitive information

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented self-starter with prioritization, organization and demonstrated process improvement skills
  • Track record of project milestone progress and communicating status to stakeholders
  • Collaborative, creative, and out-of-the-box thinker
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn new things
  • Comfortable with change and able to navigate a fast-paced, remote environment
  • Ability to create partnerships with and influence others
  • Exceptional organization with a focus on execution

And extra credit if you have experience in any of the following! 

  • Skilled in presentation design, Google Slides preferred 
  • Familiarity with Google Sheets 
  • Familiarity with Confluence or similar internal wiki
  • Familiarity with Canva and/or video editing software
  • Results driven with the ability to multitask and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience with internal communications, event planning, or other complimentary fields
  • Previous experience working in a remote/distributed environment
