We’re looking for a well-rounded Senior Designer with extensive experience creating ads for paid social. The ideal candidate has foundational experience developing campaigns across all marketing channels, and is expert in creating ads for Pinterest, Meta platforms, TikTok, etc. You know the ins and outs of these platforms, and social best practices at large. Using light editing and animation skills, you’ll bring concepts to life for stakeholder presentations. You’re confident and capable of leading the creative process from ideation through production and delivery of assets. Above all, you’re able to turn complex ideas or dense marketing briefs into simple, engaging pieces of content.

You’ll bring enthusiasm and good energy to creating work that supports the company’s business goals, educates our audiences, and brings joy and inspiration to our online friends and followers. Qualified candidates will partner and collaborate with the Marketing, Comms, and Creative teams, as well as stakeholders across the company.

We require a strong portfolio that demonstrates your track record of creating effective social media campaigns.

This role sits within the Marketing Creative Team and supports projects driven by strategic marketers. It reports to the Creative Director.

Responsibilities:
  • Create effective, channel-specific paid social media marketing campaigns.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on social media marketing best practices tracking trends, surfacing inspiring campaigns, and sharing knowledge with Marketing Creative team.
  • Elevate the Lyft brand and ensure consistent brand identity and messaging across all channels.
  • Understand business objectives and marketing strategies in order to create work that supports our goals.
  • Understand and react to paid social measurement and performance results.
  • Demonstrate impeccable design judgment, video storytelling ability.
  • Concept, create, build assets, and deliver work quickly and nimbly.
  • Use a variety of tools and creative approaches to make work that gets results.
  • Create moodboards, storyboards, key frames, and more to sell your ideas to cross-functional stakeholders.  
  • Use and edit existing assets to create more effective social media comms.
  • Present and advocate for your creative work to a variety of stakeholders, including Creative Directors, Product Marketers, and Executives.
  • Multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Build trust, respect, and credibility with stakeholders and managers
  • Be an excellent teammate
Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience at a social media company, ad agency, design studio, or similar.
  • Mastery of composition, typography, and color.
  • Mastery of design tools including Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop
  • Motion design, animation, social video editing skills.
  • A track record of creating effective and engaging social media campaigns, demonstrated in your portfolio.

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Thursdays and a team-specific third day. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.

The expected base pay range for this position in the San Francisco area is $117,000 - $130,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
