Tripadvisor is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Tooling Team within the Cloud Center of Excellence organization. The team is responsible for provisioning and managing a large AWS footprint, and providing tooling and platform resources to the broader engineering organization to enable robust infrastructure and developer velocity. Engineers on this team use a variety of software development, infrastructure as code, and operations techniques to assist Tripadvisor’s migration to and ongoing evolution in the cloud. Team members will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, providing guidance and expertise on cloud usage.

• Deep knowledge of DevOps principles
• Experience building and operating applications in a cloud environment (ideally AWS), both designing new solutions and migrating legacy data center workloads
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools
• Experience with containers and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or Amazon ECS
• Demonstrated ability to operate and troubleshoot complex, distributed systems
• Experience weighing technical decisions, committing to a solution, and communicating that decision to others
• Experience operating in an embedded operations context
• Knowledge of AWS Management services (Organizations, IAM, Identity Center)
• Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK)
• Strong software engineering background, preferably in Python and/or Go
• Basic cloud networking and security knowledge (VPCs, DNS, Transit Gateways, security groups, firewalls)
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
