As the Senior Director, Americas Marketing at Fastly, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans to drive incremental pipeline, new logo acquisition and customer expansion. You will lead a high-performing marketing team and collaborate cross-functionally with sales, partners, customer success, and other teams to achieve our business objectives.
What You'll Do:
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with Fastly's overall business goals
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies
- Demand Generation:
- Develop and implement highly effective demand generation campaigns in tandem with the sales team to drive pipeline growth and revenue
- Foster continuous collaboration with the sales team to ensure seamless alignment on priority account engagement/ABM and pipeline creation
- Utilize data-driven insights to optimize marketing campaigns, maximizing ROI
- Team Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing marketing team that works hand-in-hand with the sales organization, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, promoting professional development and growth
- Event Strategy:
- Develop and execute an impactful event strategy, including participation in industry conferences, webinars, and other relevant events
- Leverage events to strengthen relationships with customers, partners, and key stakeholders
- Metrics and Analytics:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure both marketing and sales effectiveness, providing regular reports on the overall impact on pipeline and bookings
- Use data and analytics to refine strategies and make informed decisions that benefit both marketing and sales
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior marketing role, preferably in the technology or cloud computing industry.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing successful marketing teams
- Demonstrated success in driving new customer acquisition in a high growth multi-product company
- Excellent understanding of demand generation, ABM and event management
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong bias to action and sense of curiosity
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus

San Francisco, CA - typically going into the office 3 days/week
Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home.
This position will require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.
Salary:
The estimated salary range for this position is $211,370 to $264,220.
Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
