Okta is looking for a results-oriented and strategic head of Marketing for our Enterprise and Strategic Account business in the Americas. You will be a member of the Americas Marketing Leadership Team and will have a passion for driving revenue and digging into new Go-To-Market challenges. 

You are a seasoned growth marketer who thrives in a dynamic environment and moves quickly to build structure and process. You will lead the team of marketing professionals and be responsible for the development of the regional marketing strategy for Okta’s US Enterprise & Strategic businesses as well as all segments in Canada and LaTAM.  

In this role, you will lead the development of a comprehensive plan to drive the creation and execution of integrated, online, and offline programs that build the demand strategy to fuel Okta’s growth through new customer acquisition and cross-selling to existing customers.  You will work extensively with sales, partners, campaigns, and global marketing to design, execute and measure demand generation and qualification programs to support pipeline growth in the Americas.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for setting and delivering the marketing strategy for our US Enterprise & Strategic business + all segments in Canada and Latin America, aligning closely with key stakeholders (in sales, channels and marketing)
  • Lead a high-performing team to execute impactful marketing programs that drive results and meet the needs of the region and business
  • Build an integrated marketing plan that combines both locally created marketing programs and global activities into one integrated approach working in partnership with the global marketing teams – including global campaigns, digital marketing, strategic events, PR/comms, brand & data analytics 
  • Work hand in hand with Partner Marketing & Sales Leadership to drive all routes-to-market that drive impact within your segments in the Americas. Activate Global Partner Marketing programs as well as advise Global Partner team on marketing techniques that drive demand in the region
  • Collaborate with Customer Marketing, inclusive of customer advocacy programs which include references, customer stories
  • Review the marketing funnel, through a data driven approach, improving, and executing marketing programs. Drive tight interlock and accountability with xDR team
  • Target Account Marketing Manage strategic approaches to the market at an account level with a keen understanding of leveraging account plans and ABM analytics for marketing success
  • Act as a liaison between your segments and Global Marketing; be the face of marketing to field sales teams, and conversely communicate the needs of the field back to Global Marketing teams

Qualifications:

  • Strategic marketing leader with proven track record of success developing go to market strategies, driving customer engagement programs, digital demand/lead generation, account-based marketing and leading teams that have cross functional dependencies and accountabilities to other lines of business. 
  • Demonstrated track record in generating proven marketing-oriented business growth for a global B2B, including a history of results in transforming and modernizing marketing capabilities.
  • Strong analytical capabilities & history of using data & analytics to lead marketing functions
  • Ability to integrate the “magic” and “math” of marketing. 
  • Specific successes in re-imagining end to end demand generation efforts & driving interlock between sales and marketing leadership. Experience in sales a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage influence through persuasion, negotiation & consensus building.
  • Strong people leader who role models Okta’s leadership expectations and behaviors.
  • Demonstrated ability, determination, and tenacity to move major initiatives forward and drive focus while consistently thinking of the bottom-line impact of the efforts.
  • Experience leading distributed, global teams

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$213,000—$319,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $238,000—$358,000 USD
