About the role

The Technology Partnerships team at Crunchyroll plays a pivotal role in enhancing and expanding our users' experiences. We collaborate extensively with a diverse network of device, payment, and gaming partners to broaden the reach of Crunchyroll's offerings. Our primary objective is to drive growth, open up new acquisition channels, and optimize both the scope and quality of our services. Situated at the crossroads of technology and business, we are dedicated to continually enabling experiences that delights our members.

You will specify, develop, and scale the engineering tools and business applications that support streaming, payment and gaming partner engagements, for both internal and external stakeholders. You enjoy working at the intersection of business and technology, leveraging partners to deliver the best possible experiences to your customers.

In the role of Senior Director, Partner Tools, you will report to the VP Technology Partnerships and R&D.

About You

We get excited about candidates, like you, because...

• Bachelors in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years in a leadership role at a director or senior director level.
• Proven experience in mentoring and coaching both product managers and engineers.
• You can transform complex business problems into simple elegant technical solutions.
• You have a proven track recordv of owning partner tools’ strategy and roadmap.
• You know how to build a deep understanding of current and future stakeholder needs.
• You build high-caliber, engineering and product teams, with diverse strengths.
• You are great at collaborating across engineering teams and internal stakeholders to make build vs buy recommendations.
• You have successfully led cross-functional teams across design, product & engineering.
• You have exceptional communication skills
• You have:
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and its configuration (AWS, GCP)
• Partner tools architecture and design expertise
• Some familiarity with code design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Experience with automated testing principles and best-practices
• Understanding of SQL or NoSQL data stores and their applications 
• A strong experience with building highly scalable microservices

Pluses

• Previous experience with partner tools at a major SVOD company
• Experience with SVOD services partners and in-field metrics
• Experience with partner payments
