Senior E-Commerce Analyst | Lonely Planet
*This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in ourNYC Office (Tuesday through Thursday) and work fully remotely on Mondays and Fridays each week.
To support our exciting business growth, we are actively recruiting a Senior E-Commerce Analyst to join the Lonely Planet team. Lonely Planet’s goal is to help more people from more backgrounds experience the joy of exploration and this role will help deliver on that goal.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute growth oriented e-commerce roadmap, strategy, and testing plan, receiving inputs from the Site, Print, and App teams to align with broader business objectives and brand goals.
- Advance merchandising, pricing and promotional strategy to improve shop engagement, conversion, and product adoption.
- Manage and optimize day-to-day operations of Shopify e-commerce experience.
- Monitor and analyze performance to identify areas for improvement and execute data-driven tactics to optimize the account.
- Build and maintain reporting on site performance, ensuring team wide visibility into business KPIs and overall progress of the e-commerce plan.
- Coordinate engineering, UI, and optimization tasks with third party agency, ensuring proper prioritization and alignment against shop and broader business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Marketing, Newsletter, and Print teams to ideate and support business-wide marketing campaigns and key brand moments with e-commerce activation
- Work closely with development teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of product features and marketing initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with e-commerce and marketing industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
- Track industry trends that are impacting e-commerce performance and work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within e-commerce.
- Act as a primary point of contact for critical e-commerce issues and communicate effectively with stakeholders during incident resolution.
- Maintain documentation for projects, processes, and any needs of our partners in the business
- Manage and monitor inventory warehouse feeds and prioritize issues with engineering/support teams.
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years of e-commerce experience
- Bachelor’s degree in an analytically oriented discipline (e.g., business, economics, statistics, math, finance)
- Advanced knowledge of Shopify, Excel, Asana
- Experience with NetSuite, DataGrip, and other relevant third-party tools preferred
- Proven track record of demonstrable business growth
- Intellectual curiosity in an ever-changing digital landscape to stay abreast of industry trends
Compensation:
- New York Compensation Range: $110,000-$160,000*Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
