What you'll do

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Core Platform teams. You will be responsible for the strategy and execution of Doctolib’s core platform components to enable the scalability of Doctolib on our mission to transform healthcare for professionals and patients. 

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead a high performing and user centric engineering team of 15+ members, while delivering positive team engagement scores
  • Partner with talent & people teams to recruit, develop and retain talent
  • Lead the engineering strategy and delivery for Doctolib’s core platform components 
  • Be the end-to-end owner of your team’s delivery, and components quality, production, quality, and delivery 
  • Build bridges with other technical leaders to evangelize Doctolib’s platform within the tech & product community to attract internal users to use new platform components
  • Set standards and exceed security, reliability, performance and scalability requirements that are needed to continue to be the most trusted e-health SaaS 
  • Drive continuous process improvements for managing, documenting, staffing, and reviewing engineering projects and services
  • Participate in architecture reviews to ensure that the solution delivered by your team meets Doctolib quality standards
  • Lead cross functional initiatives to up-level our engineering team
Who you are

  • You have at least 8+ years of software engineering experience and 4+ years of management experience, leading a large distributed product development team
  • You have experience scaling and leading a technical organization (15+ members), while implementing best-in-class methodologies 
  • You have strong technical skills, with a track record of building multi product and multi country complex systems
  • You have experience building platform components in a large multi-service system
  • You are eager to be hands on with our stack: we do use React, Ruby and Rust (and we are happy to help you ramp up)
  • You understand the value of testing your code
  • You have proven experiences developing efficient, maintainable and secure products
  • You think critically and objectively; with a solutions oriented approach while adapting to the most efficient technologies
  • You are an effective communicator with the ability to translate company goals into team objectives
  • You recognize yourself in our leadership principles and  playbook
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset with the ambition to transform healthcare
  • You are fluent in English;  French, German, or Italian fluency is a plus
