Role: Senior Graphic Designer 

Location:London, England, United Kingdom (Needs to be based in client office 2 days a week)

 

ROLE MISSION

Working in partnership with our client, the Senior Graphic Designer will be responsible for overseeing design projects from concept to file distribution. Responsibilities include crafting graphic content, illustrations, and infographics, as well as reviewing the work of the Artworker and other junior designers to maintain consistently high-quality deliverables. Ensuring brand consistency throughout your and yours and the team’s work is crucial, and collaboration with the entire creative team is essential to meet deadlines. The role involves creating initial design concepts and guiding them through to the full artwork stage for a diverse range of both online and offline materials. Proactive project management within agreed-upon timelines is a key aspect, considering factors such as quality, accuracy, and consistency. An integral part of their responsibilities includes quality assurance (QA) of work in alignment with brand guidelines across all assets, as well as providing support on brand and performance projects. Projects will predominantly be print supported by digital and social assets, therefore experience with print is essential. The role requires someone who enjoys and is well-versed in conceptual design thinking and can come up with new design ideas supported by loose brand guidelines. The brand tends to focus on contemporary styles that blend arts and culture-inspired work with advertising principles.

Familiarity with animation and motion is a bonus. This role will also require an independent ability to manage projects and your capacity working directly with a brief owner.

 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

 

  • Crafting graphic content, illustrations, and infographics
  • Propose improvement to templatization and efficiencies of work
  • Ensuring old and new brand guideline consistency throughout their work is crucial, and collaboration with the entire creative team is essential to meet deadlines
  • The role involves creating initial design concepts in line with approved guidelines for print and selected channels
  • Proactive project management within agreed-upon timelines is a key aspect, considering factors such as quality, accuracy, and consistency and print deadlines
  • An integral part of the responsibilities includes quality assurance (QA) of work in alignment with brand guidelines across all assets, as well as providing support on brand and performance projects
  • Responsible for end file distribution and print production ordering

 

 

You will work on a variety of different projects from:

  • Creating assets for cultural partners including print and digital collateral
  • Social Content
  • Adaptations
  • Digital content
  • OOH and print ads both for the client and the client’s cultural partners
  • Product and campaign assets
  • Re-purpose and adapt existing brand toolkits to creative engaging fresh content
  • Brand development and toolkit work

 

 

WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL 

 

  • Experience working with or personal passion for arts and culture design projects
  • Print experience
  • Ability to switch between print and social best practice
  • Video design experience is a plus
  • A portfolio demonstrating your ideas through to execution
  • You'll have a deep affinity with layout, typography and ideas-generation
  • Proficiency in Adobe CC suite applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch and associated prototyping
  • A team player and possess the ability to build strong and effective working relationships
