Summary

Due to continued growth and expansion across the APAC region, we’re seeking a talented and enthusiastic Senior HR Generalist to join our Employee Experience (HR) team. As a quickly growing company, this means we need creative, entrepreneurial People, People who can help build and implement our HR practices and policies across APAC as we scale whilst supporting all employees & the Employee Experience team.

The Employee Experience Team at MongoDB is the face of HR to the approximately 5,000 employees globally. The team is responsible for providing full employee life cycle service delivery from onboarding to separation management in partnership with the rest of the People Team including the following CoEs: Recruiting, Total Rewards, Culture & Engagement, Employee Engagement & Inclusion, HR Business Partnering and HR Operations. The team is also responsible for our Workplace sustainability and community/events efforts, Employee Relations, policy and process enhancements including regional compliance as well as developing programs to enhance manager capability across the company. 

Core focus areas include: Build and maintain the immigration & mobility framework across APAC, strong emphasis on compliance and adherence to statutory protocols, ensuring operational integrity, supporting managers and teams implementing MongoDB guidelines, supporting performance management, fostering positive employee relations and much more. Key Responsibilities: 
  • Provide regional support to ensure the seamless service to employees in APAC on all operational HR elements (e.g. onboarding, benefits, payroll, performance management, coaching & development)
  • Serving as the main point of contact for all mobility & immigration queries that come into HR. Connecting with employees to understand and address questions or source the answer from other COE's while providing advisory services for managers
  • Coordinate immigration cases alongside our internal stakeholders as well as externally with our immigration vendor (Fragomen)
  • Manage all mobility-related tasks, including relocation agreements and internal mobility processing
  • Process Improvement: Develop, manage and evolve MongoDB People processes and procedures and maintain/update existing procedures
  • Keep abreast of employment law and current legislation in relation to Human Resources to better advise managers and identify risk and alternate solutions
  • Maintain and update content and knowledge articles in relation to Employee Experience processes
Requirements: 
  • 5+ years of related experience as Human Resources Generalist with strong experience handling mobility & immigration cases
  • An entrepreneurial spirit - we have a lot to build!
  • Experience in supporting global/distributed organizations strongly preferred
  • Proven experience to interpret and guide employment matters in alignment with local employment laws and regulations across multiple location across APAC (Australia, Singapore, South Korea, China, Japan preferred)
  • Good Analytical skills, ​​Data-and metrics-driven, is able to take out meaningful insights based on data and base decisions on that
  • Comfortable in an accelerated learning environment. Focus on continuous personal and professional development 
  • Passion in embracing operational excellence and driving ongoing improvements 
  • Self-motivated - ability to hunt down answers and drive solutions autonomously
  • Act as a key change agent to initiate, facilitate and manage changes through effective planning, communication and coaching
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
