Where you’ll work:
Depending on the needs of your business area, we expect hub based people to be in the office at least once a week, and to go to OVO Connection events in-person.
You’ll be assigned to the closest one of our three hub offices, Bristol, Glasgow, or London; unless your role requires field-based work. Each hub has accessible spaces to park your laptop, is designed to inspire people, help them connect and bring big ideas to life.

This role in a nutshell:
This role will be working within the Billing Operations team, also bridging into Bill Pay Collect pod to support leading the strategy and delivery of transformational change for our Billing processes and platforms.
As Senior Manager, Billing Strategy and Transformation, you will drive the OVO Billing strategy, setting the short, medium and long-term direction. You will be responsible for driving the evolution of the Billing experience, ensuring it meets the needs of all our customers, whilst mitigating revenue leakage through strategic delivery and oversight of key initiatives.
Your key outcomes will be:
- Developing and driving the OVO Billing strategy, ensuring it is well understood and socialised across the organisation.
- Owning an end to end gap analysis of the Billing platform and processes complete with delivery of a transformation roadmap, complimenting our platform development.
- Working across the wider end to end COB function to implement processes and policies which mitigate and optimise Billing Leakage, as well as debt recoverability and balance accuracy.
- Development a strategy to optimise and reduce costs of managing Billing exceptions including identification of new enduring bulk solutions and platform use cases.
- Leading the transformation of our Billing operational capabilities, ensuring there is a clear roadmap towards our future north star.
- Leading a small team of Billing specialists committed to developing bulk and automated exceptions solutions.
- Having detailed oversight of in-flight Billing deliveries and key risks, ensuring that prioritisation across the wider organisation addresses key areas of business and customer risk.
- Highlighting strategic gaps or key decisions required to senior leadership when progress is not aligned with customer and business needs.
- Collaborating across Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Operational teams to align the Billing strategy with broader strategic objectives.
- Monitoring industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity in Billing to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
- Leading and motivating project and operational teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and customer-first thinking.
You’ll be a successful Senior Manager - Billing Strategy & Transformation at OVO if you have…
- Proven experience in strategy development and delivery, ideally within the utilities or financial services sectors.
- Significant experience of strategy development and its translation into successful outcome delivery.
- Significant experience working with product, data and technology teams with a deep understanding of development lifecycles.
- A track record of delivering transformational change within the energy business or a similarly regulated industry
- A strong understanding of Ofgem regulations and risk management, with experience balancing customer, business and regulatory outcomes
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage at a senior level.
- A genuine passion for creating positive customer outcomes.

We’ll pay you between £60,000 and £72,000, depending on your specific skills and experience.
