Senior Manager - International Accounting

Position Overview:
The Senior Manager, International Accounting is a member of the corporate accounting team and manages the activities of the company’s international entities ensuring compliance with local and US GAAP, corporate policies, and external audits.
Essential Job Functions:
The ideal candidate possesses leadership capabilities, solid operational and technical accounting background and works proactively to drive results. This person is a self-starter, flexible, and is action and goal-oriented in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Specific duties include:
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements on a monthly basis
- Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded for international subsidiaries
- Oversee the accounts payable process
- Oversee the accounts receivable process
- Responsible for revenue recognition under both IFRS and GAAP.
- Prepare and review month-end journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations
- Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with internal control policies in a SOX environment
- Ensure the international entities adhere to corporate accounting policies
- Work with third party providers to ensure timely filings with regulators
- Coordinate with the US accounting team and other entities to ensure transactions are recorded accurately
- Perform other duties as requested or as responsibilities dictate
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA preferred
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
- Prior experience working with multiple entities, global offices, and foreign currencies preferred
- 3+ years in leadership or supervisory role required
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting concepts
- Acute attention to accuracy and detail
- Effective communication skills and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize activities while working on multiple projects and achieve target deadlines
- High proficiency in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft office programs
Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000
The salary range is an estimate of pay for this position. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related factors that can include location, education, skill, and experience. The salary range does not include any benefits or other forms of possible compensation that may be available to employees.
