Role Description

As the Head of Analyst Relations on the Dropbox Portfolio Marketing team you will play a pivotal role in driving the analyst relations strategy, day-to-day programming, and strategic programs with top-tier industry analysts. Working closely with other members of the marketing team and cross-functional groups, you will have the opportunity to work with key leaders and partners across Dropbox, aiding in sharing the Dropbox story and establishing its position as a leading [content platform] vendor with the analyst community. Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining relationships with the global analyst community, sharing industry trends and insights with the Dropbox team, and driving push and pull programs that result in Dropbox's positive market position. This includes effective communication of vision, strategy, product direction, customer success, and competitive position. As you shape the Analyst Relations program, you'll be encouraged to exercise creative thinking to bring your plans to life, combining strategy, executive visibility, and strong execution in a unique role.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for inbound and outbound analyst requests
  • Respond quickly to sales requests, providing useful information in a timely manner for all requests while staying within analyst firms’ policies
  • Maintain strong working relationships with influential analysts covering <>
  • Summarize relevant analyst reports for global sales and marketing teams
  • Respond to requests for research from sales and marketing
  • Work with public relations to identify analysts to speak with reporters, be quoted in press releases and support pitches.
  • Outbound communication to analysts about <> including sharing <> news, managing analyst tours and briefing analysts about <>’s future/strategy.
  • Handling inbound analyst requests in a timely and effective manner including surveys, inquiries, and requests to speak with customers.
  • Working with internal <> constituents including marketing, sales and executives to seek analysts’ input on roadmap, strategy, pricing etc.
  • Working with global <> marketing team to use analysts strategically to support marketing efforts including speaking opportunities, report sponsorship for lead generation and webinar participation.
  • Writing and developing briefing docs, messaging docs, analyst tours, trade shows and events. The role will work with firms such as Gartner Group, IDC and Forrester Research.
  • Contributing to and maintaining a competitive/market intelligence database of information based on analyst data, reports and interviews.
  • Acting as a representative of <> in ongoing discussions with analysts and at analyst and industry conferences
Requirements
  • 10-12 years of relevant work experience in analyst relations; additional experience in communications/PR and marketing a plus
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills; ability to create compelling content and synthesize complex topics
  • Experience in creating and executing strategic plans that drive successful business outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with and influence a wide range of audiences including technical and senior business decision makers and can guide senior executives through analyst engagements (inquiries/briefings/strategy sessions), events and conferences
  • Excellent time management skills to effectively execute on multiple projects
  • Experience creating communications to global audiences, including external industry analysts, internal audiences, and executive communications
  • Experience managing operations, programs and tools for analyst relations, and identifying opportunities to improve and streamline analyst engagements
Total Rewards

Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation.  We target most new hire offers between the minimum up to the middle of the range.

Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

Current Salary/OTE Ranges (Subject to change):• US Zone 1: $193,000 - $227,100 - $261,200.• US Zone 2: $173,700 - $204,400 - $235,100.• US Zone 3: $154,400 - $181,700 - $209,000. Dropbox uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. Current US Zone locations are as follows:• US Zone 1: San Francisco metro, New York City metro, or Seattle metro• US Zone 2: Austin (TX) metro, Chicago metro, California (outside SF metro), Colorado, Connecticut (outside NYC metro), Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York (outside NYC metro), Oregon, Pennsylvania (outside NYC or DC metro), Washington (outside Seattle metro) and Washington DC metro• US Zone 3: All other US locations
