Senior Manager, Technical Program Management (Marketing)

The Community You Will Join:
This role partners with our Product, Design, Creative, Marketing, and Marketing Technology organizations across multiple dimensions. Our Marketing Technology team is focused on building the best-in-class platform and internal tooling to enable marketing and product teams at Airbnb to deliver no-code vehicles and the associated delivery infrastructure. For launch marketing campaigns, we customize the entry experience for our Guests and Hosts, and someone in this role will lead collaboration on custom-built pages. This is a key role that requires a self-starter with strong experience in organization, communication, and execution of marketing needs.
You will have an opportunity to impact every person who travels or hosts on Airbnb. This role is deeply cross-organizational, as successful project delivery is done with close collaboration among product, design, engineering, and marketing. Building positive relationships across a multitude of cross-functional teams will be essential to the success of this leader. You will operate as an individual contributor and a cross-functional leader.

You should have a keen interest in not only utilizing technology to enhance marketing strategies, but also understand the underlying mechanisms that drive successful integration between the two disciplines.
A Typical Day:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with your peers in product, design, marketing, and engineering.
- Collaborate with leaders across the organization to manage and continuously optimize delivery activities and processes. Create alignment on strategies and roadmaps, and ensure effective prioritization / trade-offs against overall strategy and organizational constraints
- Maintain a portfolio view of programs and ensure senior leadership has sufficient visibility into execution status, issues, and decisions to ensure continued alignment
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to proactively understand their needs and opportunities for your team; offer a strategic perspective, sound judgment, and attention to detail to aid in achieving practical business impact
- Build and maintain a high-performance culture- you will be responsible for developing a team of TPMs, providing continual feedback, coaching and career growth for direct reports
- Provide executional guidance and support for your team’s projects by helping simplify the technically complex, unblocking teams, identifying risks and opportunities
- Partner with your peers leading other TPM teams to strengthen the craft
- As needed, hands on management of large, complex, strategic programs
Your Expertise:
- 13+ years in the TPM function (or equivalent experience), with at least 5 years experience leading and mentoring a team of TPMs, creating a culture of inclusiveness and sustainability
- Demonstrated ability as a product or technology advocate, with the ability to collaborate with engineering and marketing teams
- Interest and extensive experience driving alignment which includes ability to effectively navigate organizational or process ambiguity to achieve a goal or outcome.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with senior leadership and key stakeholders
- Nimble, self-motivated, curious, proactive with a proven ability to adapt to changes and effective working in a dynamic environment where priorities can shift from day to day.
- Organizational leadership, with proven ability to collaborate and influence teams across boundaries
- Appreciation and experience working with engineering teams who value iterative development best practices

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
