We are on the lookout for a highly skilled and seasoned Bangalore manufacturing testengineer to spearhead our mfg test Team, with a specialized focus on developing,supporting, and maintaining advanced software tools for the manufacturing tests of x86and data store (Direct Flash Module) hardware products. This critical role aims atpropelling our team's efficiency and success in enhancing software tools dedicated tothe manufacturing test environment. The ideal candidate will bring to the table aprofound expertise in software programming,manufacturing testing, a solid grasp ofpertinent hardware technologies, and the capacity to evolve from an activeprogramming role into a strategic leadership position. This evolution is essential foraligning with our mission to deliver modular, product-agnostic tools that significantlyimprove hardware manufacturing test processes. What You Will Be Doing

Software Development for Manufacturing Tests:

● Champion the development, enhancement, and deployment of software updatesspecifically designed for testing tools in the manufacturing sector, focusing onx86 and data store hardware.● Employ programming acumen to boost tool functionality, efficiency, andintegration, ensuring feedback from the Santa Clara team is incorporated toachieve seamless operation across different hardware platforms.

Team Management and Leadership in Manufacturing Test Development:

● Direct the Bangalore team's endeavors in manufacturing test tool development,stepping into a leadership role that secures alignment with the overarchingmission of the Tools Team and encourages collaboration with the Santa Clarateam.● Serve as a pivotal link between geographical teams, ensuring clear, opencommunication and the integration of efforts in the manufacturing test toolprojects.

 

Production Testing Enhancements:

● Lead the drive for continuous enhancements in manufacturing test proceduresfor x86 and data store hardware, focusing on improving DUT failure handling anddebugging processes.

Legacy Code Refactoring for Manufacturing Tests:

● Modernize and align legacy source code with the latest Golden JSON datastandards, optimizing compatibility and standardization for manufacturing testenvironments.

Continuous Improvement of Manufacturing Test Tools:

● Initiate and steer the ongoing development of test tools, with an emphasis onenhancing debugging capabilities tailored to the manufacturing testrequirements and feedback from the debug team.

Ensuring Robust Manufacturing Test Software:

● Ensure the test software provides comprehensive support for effectivedebugging in various manufacturing settings, including the implementation offailure injection techniques.

Collaboration and Communication for Manufacturing Test Development:

● Uphold strong communication and collaborative efforts within the Tools Teamand across functional units, championing a culture of continuous improvementthrough methodical reviews and cooperative problem-solving in themanufacturing test domain.

What You Bring To the Table
  • Programming Experience: Expertise in software development for manufacturingtests, proficient in languages such as Python, Java, C++, or related.
  • Hardware Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of x86 architecture and data storehardware, with a strong focus on manufacturing test applications.
  • Manufacturing Test Tools Expertise: Comprehensive experience with softwareand tools used in the testing of hardware within a manufacturing context.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to transition from a hands-on technicalrole to a leadership position, emphasizing strategic planning and teammanagement in the manufacturing test sector
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills,dedicated to advancing manufacturing test processes and tools.
  • Communication Skills: Superior communication and collaboration skills,experienced in leading diverse teams and integrating efforts across geographicallocations in the manufacturing test field.

 

  • Minimum Qualifications:● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.● A minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, with a significantportion dedicated to hardware manufacturing test tools.

 

  • Bonus Qualifications:● Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.● Lean six sigma training certified● Previous leadership or management roles within the manufacturing testdevelopment sector.
