The Marketing Data Operations and Technology Team

Okta has ambitious growth plans and is striving for operational excellence across the underlying marketing technology infrastructure to support the wider go-to-market organization. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the management and optimization of Okta’s marketing technology stack and capabilities with a particular focus on areas of lead lifecycle & funnel management tools and processes. You will work closely with various teams across the organization to bring on new technologies and optimize existing tools to drive a program of technical efficiency, and operational excellence and support a framework of data-driven insights. 

The Senior Marketing Technology Analyst Opportunity

As part of the wider Marketing Data Operations and Technology team, this individual will help own the maintenance and optimization of the existing Marketing Technology infrastructure as well as the assessment and implementation of new technologies. They will have close working relationships with the Marketing Automation, Procurement, and Business Technology teams working cross-functionally to optimize the implementation, performance, and visibility of Okta’s Marketing Technology ecosystem across the organization. This will play a key role in ensuring Okta is maximizing the value of our technological capabilities within the marketing space.

This candidate should have experience in understanding requirements from both marketing and sales teams in areas of lead, funnel, and campaign management and the demonstrated ability to respond to those needs through the design, implementation, and maintenance of supporting data-flows. What you’ll be doing 

  • Be the system admin/technical SME on lead lifecycle and funnel management tools, lead routing, and marketing to sales lead handoff.
  • Own the adoption, maintenance and project work for tools like, LeanData, FullCircle, Drift, Sendoso, Outreach, and Ambition.
  • Help maintain robust Marketing Technology Library and dataflow documentation to drive efficiency in our Martech process and infrastructure.
  • Play a key role in evaluating systems to augment or replace existing components of the MarTech stack.
  • Drive improved MarTech stack user adoption and own strategy for evaluating tool ROI.
  • Ensure necessary data points are accurately captured and updated to support and enhance lead-lifecycle management, marketing and reporting needs within the appropriate tools.
  • Partner with the Marketing Technology Manager to manage vendor relationships, participate in tool renewals, and process POs and invoices.
  • Active monitoring of live integrations, connections, and overall system performance to ensure timely data flow between systems and to identify, report, and troubleshoot any issues (either ongoing or intermittent) that need addressing.
  • Collaborate with Business Technology teams on implementing changes to enhance performance and inform prioritization and resource allocation.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • 3+ years of experience working with Field (Marketing or Sales) Technology/Operations.
  • Experience of working with Salesforce (preference for candidates who have worked directly with systems integrations with Salesforce. Salesforce certifications are a plus).
  • Knowledge of marketing technology & ad-tech landscape, best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Strong critical thinker and problem solver, with an eye for detail.
  • Multi-year experience in a systems-administrator role, with exposure to supporting systems integrations.
  • Multi-year experience with marketing tools such as LeanData, FullCircle, and Drift.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$103,000—$155,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $115,000—$173,000 USD
