How you can help make a better world of work

The Design System Team is critical in unifying the experience and user interface across our products into a single cohesive platform. Our Design System, Kaizen, is well-established and adopted across all our product teams. However, as our platform and organisation have grown, so has our need to evolve our Design System and approach.

As the Senior Product Manager on the Design System Team, you will be responsible for driving our Design System transformation. This includes building out the strategic direction and turning it into an actionable roadmap of components, tooling, principles, enablement and support to ensure our product teams feel set up to efficiently deliver quality user interfaces for our wide range of customers and users.

To be successful in transforming the Design System you will need to possess an open and collaborative mindset.

You’ll need to be comfortable working out loud to build connections across the Product Group, leveraging relationships and processes to understand the needs of our cross-functional product teams. This will inform your priorities for building an impactful roadmap.

Within the Design System Team, you will be responsible for cultivating a sense of purpose and vision whilst focusing on delivering value to our internal product teams. To close the loop on execution you will need to bring visibility to our plans and celebrate the work as it is delivered.

As part of this cross-functional team of amazing humans, you will…

  • Guide the strategic direction and execution roadmap that enable all of our product teams to efficiently deliver high-quality and cohesive user interfaces
  • Build momentum within the team by breaking big goals down into small, solvable pieces, of disproportionately high-value work
  • Set and achieve clear success metrics that define a successful Design System, keeping the team focused and on track
  • Drive systems of feedback from Design System users and share with the team and beyond to build empathy and insight on key challenges to overcome
  • Advocate for the Design System by facilitating collaboration with key stakeholders across Product, Design & Engineering to enable a highly adopted system
  • Craft clear communications that generate broad awareness plans, progress and wins related to the Design System and the team
  • Stay informed of the latest design systems thinking

You have…

  • 5+ years of product management experience
