As the Senior Product Manager of Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) , you will report to the Leader of Okta on Okta and be a key team member that will build and execute a vision of what a world-class, comprehensive IGA and PAM service should be to empower and harden Okta’s business. Utilizing Okta’s own Identity Governance and PAM capabilities, you will guide your colleagues and business stakeholders through complex, high-impact identity security projects that utilize industry leading identity and security concepts, models, and practices. Responsibilities

Set and implement the roadmap for Okta’s own implementation of IGA and PAM for all business use cases, and will partner deeply with your Product counterparts in  the Workforce Identity Cloud organization to influence their roadmap based on Okta’s own needs, and drive the implementation and user experience outcomes for their application within the business. You will be the decider for what Okta on Okta engineering dedicates its capacity toward, with an unwavering eye toward making Okta the most secure company in the world. Determine and drive what IGA & PAM service delivery means for Okta’s own business needs, and constantly find opportunities for improvement so our own implementation is the reference implementation of Okta technology.

  • Be the subject matter expert for Identity Governance and Privileged Access at Okta for all workforce personas, fine grained access control, certifications, and other Identity Governance functions. 
  • Steward excellent security practices as it relates to securing Okta against Identity related threats by partnering with Business Technology and Security teams
  • Guide business customers through the entire project lifecycle; conduit between the business and technical delivery teams
  • Own, write and review requirements with business partners, product analysts and engineers across the Business Technology (BT) function; negotiate detailed requirements and solution design trade-offs
  • Define and implement best practice IGA business processes, dashboards, use cases and documentation to ensure a robust and durable program
  • Provide oversight, governance, coaching, and mentoring to product analysts and engineers to constantly evolve the IAM program for workforce and as it relates to securing the enterprise
  • Lead the writing of user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Lead testing and quality control and assurance activities across departments
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for the team to reference and share with our internal customers
  • Represent Okta in conversations with Okta customers and prospective customers to share our experiences utilizing Okta’s platform capabilities

 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in technical, business, and/or IT roles
  • 6+ years’ experience implementing and/or supporting enterprise IAM solutions, product management, or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of developing and executing on enterprise workforce Identity Governance and PAM solutions
  • Advanced knowledge of general industry IAM concepts and best practices, particularly relating to IGA and PAM
  • Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks such as NIST/FedRamp, SOX, SOC, ISO, SOC2, PCI, ZeroTrust, SaaS Security Framework, Data Security Foundations, etc.
  • Executive level communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage and influence C-level leaders, external customers, and regulatory bodies
  • Experience managing numerous, competing demands from stakeholders while maintaining excellent and on time delivery
  • Exhibit strong leadership and influencing skills in a complex, matrix environment and demonstrates the ability to broker agreements among diverse, differing, or completing priorities and perspectives
  • Confidence working within SDLC and agile methodologies
  • Okta Workforce, Okta Customer, and/or CIDPro certifications strongly preferred

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$182,000—$255,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $202,000—$283,000 USD
