Job Description

 

As the Senior Quality Manager at our Swedesboro NJ location, you will have responsibility for the execution and improvement of all quality activities. This includes receiving inspections, warehouse checks, internal audits, and continuous quality monitoring.  This position manages a team of quality professionals including associate managers, area managers and hourly staff.  The Swedesboro location produces meal kits for two HelloFresh brands, Every Plate and Green Chef.  This position is the senior quality leader in this building, therefore they will represent and advocate for quality throughout the building and with site leadership. 

 

You will…

  • Be accountable for maintaining a <2% quality error rate for both brands at the site.  Additional accountable metrics include labor minutes per box, and collaboration with operations on product pick errors.  Additional measurements include, completing inbound inspection activities correctly and quickly, conducting warehouse checks, maintaining internal audit %s and supporting internal prep activities.

 

  • Responsible for collaborating on implementation and modifications to programs with other FSQA leaders. 

 

  • Be responsible for creating a strong culture of quality through process execution and enhancement, including advocating for quality throughout the product lifecycle.

 

  • Investigate root cause for outside of target error rates and non-conformance events and drive correction actions.

 

  • Manage a highly effective team.  This includes managing the schedule, onboarding, training, time off, VER/VTO,  hiring, performance management, and keeping to budget.  This also includes providing coaching, feedback, and support to build a highly performing and engaged team with a deep bench of expertise and knowledge.  

 

  • Provide the quality team with all necessary tools, training, equipment and technology required to be successful.

 

  • Use the resources available to you and your team to be successful - including internal teams who can provide support for data analysis, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, training, and app development.

 

  • Be accountable for sending accurate and verified information to partnering teams, including procurement tickets and fulfillment metrics. 

 

  • Escalate opportunities quickly, accurately, and to the right audience  so they can be resolved efficiently and effectively. 

 

  • Represent the  team as the quality leader of the Swedesboro Distribution Center, including at internal metrics review meetings.  Partner with peers and site leadership to accomplish site goals.

 

  • Own and build relationships with external teams, including but not limited to fulfillment, logistics, procurement, IT, field learning, and HR.

At a minimum, you have…

  • Associate’s degree or related management work experience.
  • At least 7 years of work experience in quality assurance, should be combined with a demonstrated track-record of accomplishments as a quality assurance manager, and with satisfying customers in technology-driven, developing companies.
  • SQF Practitioner certification, preferred
  • Preventive Controls Qualified Individual, preferred
