We are now looking an experienced analyst with a focus on Travel and Leisure related industries, including topics studying market trends and marketing strategies, consumers' behaviors and attitudes towards different trends, innovation, branding and marketing campaigns happening in these sectors, covering but not limited to hotels, OTAs, theme parks, sports and outdoor services, etc.

What you will be doing:1. Publishing in-depth reports combining market research and consumer insights:• Work with line manager to write and publish 7-9 reports a year covering a variety of consumer markets that demonstrate Mintel’s expertise in related topics• Gather primary and secondary data relevant to the researched market and develop accurate market, company and segmentation data• Build relationships with industry contacts to understand the key issues influencing consumers, innovation and company strategy, identifying the most relevant issues to explore in consumer research• Design consumer research, provide in-depth analysis leveraging your category expertise and consumer sentiments, and translate data into actionable insights and suggestions• Meet tight publication deadlines

2. Representing Mintel and delivering clients service• Support line manager to handle client service requests related to the subject field• Support commercial team to proactively share Mintel’s insights with clients & prospects in data-pull or presentations• Promote Mintel’s brand in the marketplace by supporting marketing and PR activities such as media interviews and webinars

Who we are looking for:• Insights-led: You should have at least 3 years’ work experience (eg marketing, insight, strategy, etc) in the hotel/OTA/Sports and outdoor retailing industries, with proven expertise in conducting market or consumer research.• Observant and sensitive: You have a strong interest, patience to study in various travel and leisure related industries and consumer behaviours. You have the ability to spot trends and innovations that are emerging in the travel and leisure market, and are willing to try out new products and services to get first-hand experiences.• Naturally curious: You are naturally curious and great at navigating internal and external data, asking second and third-level questions to see the patterns behind data to craft expert analysis to be used in a business setting.• Logical thinking: You are equipped with analytical skills, critical thinking and attention to detail.• Business acumen: You are able to develop insights that have meaningful business implications• Detailed organizer: You have good organizational and planning skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines• Good Chinese and English writing and communication skills: You have solid business writing skills (in Chinese and English) and have proven experiences in writing long articles or presentations independently.
