About the RoleAs a Senior Sales Engineer at Pantheon, you will be a critical contributor to the evolving landscape of modern web development, helping developers and marketers create, launch, and manage incredible digital experiences on our website operations platform. Partnering with Account Executives, you will drive revenue by showcasing the technical and business value of Pantheon. This is a high-impact role where you will lead technical sales conversations, guide product demonstrations, and influence the direction of our platform. You will join a collaborative and high-performing sales engineering team, where mentorship and knowledge sharing are at the core of our success.
What you Need to Succeed- Lead technical sales engagements from discovery to close, partnering closely with Account Executives.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations and tailored technical presentations that showcase Pantheon’s business value and platform strengths.
- Own the technical win: understand a prospect’s technical challenges and business objectives, align them with Pantheon’s capabilities, and remove barriers to adoption.
- Guide prospects through the procurement process, including completing RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires.
- Provide best practice recommendations and strategic guidance to prospects and customers.
- Act as a subject matter expert in one or more product or technical domains.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to inform GTM strategy and share feedback with Product and Engineering teams.
- Mentor and coach Sales Engineers, enabling their growth through onboarding, ongoing enablement, and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to internal documentation, training programs, and initiatives that scale the Sales Engineering team.
- Engage in community-building activities, contributing to thought leadership in the field.
- BA/BS or equivalent experience.
- 3–5+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering or customer-facing technical role, ideally in SaaS or enterprise software.
- Strong technical acumen and familiarity with modern web infrastructure, architecture, and development workflows.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Proven experience advising on solution fit, technical requirements, and best practices across customer segments.

The on-target earnings (OTE) range for this position is $200,000–$215,000 USD.
Our salary ranges are determined based on role, level, and location.
