About the Role

HashiCorp is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager who is excited to drive operational excellence through cross-functional programs that impact many team members across multiple organizations at HashiCorp.

As part of the Value Engineering, Technical Programs Team, you'll develop and deliver operating norms and implement programs for our new Technical Field Strategist function inside of Value Engineering. You will build, drive, and deliver sophisticated programs and initiatives requiring cross functional collaboration across multiple subject areas.

You will be responsible for bringing cohesion and collaboration within the Technical Field Strategist function, across Value Engineering, and across other cross-functional organizations within HashiCorp. The programs you drive and deliver will help our Technical Field Strategist function define and articulate the technical value of new GTM motions via persona-based 2nd call technical selling decks and associated demos and workshops that focus on driving customer consumption and value realization achievements. These assets will allow increased consistency and scaling across the field technical selling teams, reducing the time to technical win. The programs you deliver will be tightly aligned with our technical interlock team, ensuring the solutions and roadmap items align with R&D, the associated HashiCorp Validated Designs, and field-facing customer journey assets. The programs you drive and deliver will be critical to implementing Strategist product development, delivery, and launch (such as new Go To Markets, sales plays, and other deliverables), all aligned to outcomes such as Cost, Speed, and Risk for our customers. You should have a strong appreciation for the scaling of processes, thrive in a dynamic environment, and have excellent interpersonal skills.

Our Value Engineering team, as well as the other cross-functional teams you'll work with, are largely remote. While prior experience working remotely isn't required, we are looking for team members who perform well given a high level of independence. Excellent systems thinking, collaboration & communication, and team-building skills are required to collaborate effectively with organizational leaders in other functions.

In this role you can expect to:

  • Lead coordination and planning for product-specific and cross-product programs to ensure that the processes run smoothly for the team
  • Work closely with the Technical Field Strategist leader and team members, along with other in-scope cross functional teams, to drive execution of critical initiatives, proactively identify risks & obstacles along with building mitigation plans
  • Collaborate with customers for beta testing of new GTMs, Sales Plays, and/or other technical assets to ensure critical feedback is incorporated into everything we build and an ongoing feedback loop is established both internally and externally
  • Manage collaboration between all in-scope functions by identifying priorities, defining cross-functional achievements, and creating project plans
  • Work with all in-scope teams and functions to identify product dependencies, drive alignment and interlocks, create a strategic roadmap, and drive and supervise ongoing progress
  • Create Plans of Record [PORs] and program plans including scope, dependency, risks
  • Own systems for project documentation, status tracking, portfolios, dashboards and communication between project collaborators to ensure overall program health
  • Establish, drive and continuously improve standards for processes that promote a high standard for product delivery and efficiency of teams
  • Work closely with Field Strategist leadership in the definition and ongoing reporting of relevant metrics that support the progress, success and areas of improvement of the launched GTM programs
  • Contribute to an environment that's conducive to great execution culture and removes obstacles to project completion
  • Work closely with leadership teams and operational teams on priority and productivity process improvements

You may be a good fit for our team if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in an R&D or technical field program management role driving projects through full product life cycle, or equivalent experience in a technical customer facing role such as Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Professional Services where a high degree of organization, strategic execution, and project management skills were required
  • Experience using Jira Software for program planning and delivery, and experience administering Jira and standing up and refining new projects and workflows
  • Experience with Scrum and working across distributed and remote teams
  • Familiarity with HashiCorp products and Go To Market selling motions
  • Proven ability to creatively tackle complicated problems
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills, understanding of the needs of all collaborators, and a track record of delivering projects
  • Experience in a rapidly growing organization, working cross-functionally with teams delivering enterprise software or field solutions
  • Strong bias for action and an intrinsic ability to deal with ambiguity

HashiCorp embraces diversity and equal opportunity. We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. We believe the more inclusive we are, the better our company will be. #LI-JO1
