We’re on the hunt for a Senior Video Editor with a strong focus on Paid Social to join the Brand and Creative team at Butternut.

As a Senior Video Editor, you will oversee the creation and management of video content across various channels, with a particular emphasis on Paid Social. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in video production and editing, coupled with a knack for developing content that not only engages our audience but also drives measurable results.

This is a hybrid role, with the team working in the office at White City on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Content Creation:

  • Develop and produce high-quality video content for various channels, with a strong focus on paid social assets.
  • Generate creative concepts and ideas for video content that align with brand messaging and marketing objectives, specifically tailored to drive performance on Paid Social platforms.

Video Editing:

  • Edit video footage to create polished, professional final products that meet the specific needs of Paid Social, as well as other platforms.
  • Ensure all video content is on-brand, consistent in style and quality, and optimized for each platform, with particular attention to the nuances of Paid Social.
  • Utilise video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) to enhance video quality, add effects, and ensure seamless transitions that capture audience attention and drive engagement.

Strategy and Planning:

  • Collaborate closely with the marketing and creative teams to develop content strategies that align with business goals and marketing objectives, particularly in the context of Paid Social campaigns.
  • Plan and execute video content calendars, ensuring timely delivery and distribution of content across all relevant platforms, with a focus on maximising performance in Paid Social environments.

Performance and Optimisation:

  • Monitor and analyse the performance of video content, especially on Paid Social platforms, using insights to optimise and improve future content.
  • Set and achieve performance targets for video content, ensuring it drives engagement, conversions, and meets the specific KPIs set for Paid Social.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, and external partners to coordinate video shoots and content production, ensuring all content is performance-driven and aligned with broader marketing strategies.
  • Manage relationships with freelancers, agencies, and other vendors involved in the video production process, ensuring all projects are delivered to a high standard and on time.

Innovation and Trends:

  • Stay updated with the latest trends in video production, Paid Social, and content marketing to ensure content is fresh, engaging, and optimised for performance.
  • Experiment with new formats, techniques, and strategies specifically aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of Paid Social content.

What the Opportunity Looks Like:

  • Edit to a high standard, working across commercial, social, and marketing projects with a particular focus on Paid Social campaigns.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders, including marketing teams, to manage projects to a high standard, ensuring all content is performance-driven.
  • Undertake animation and motion graphics tasks at a high level to enhance content effectiveness, particularly in the context of Paid Social.
  • Assist the team in the day-to-day running of the edit team, including workflows, mentoring, and guiding through technical and daily challenges.
  • Perform colour correction and grading on images and videos, conforming to broadcast and social standards and guidelines, with a focus on the requirements of Paid Social.
  • Source audio tracks and perform sound mixing edits, creating well-mastered tracks across multiple layers to enhance the overall impact of video content.
  • Provide shoot support as needed, ensuring all content produced aligns with brand guidelines and the tone of Butternut Box, with a specific emphasis on optimising content for Paid Social.

👋  A Bit About You:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in Paid Social content.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere and After Effects, with a strong emphasis on creating performance-driven content for Paid Social platforms.
  • High-level proficiency in colour grading using Adobe Premiere, with experience tailoring visuals to meet the specific demands of Paid Social.
  • High-level proficiency in sound mixing and mastering, ensuring audio quality enhances the overall impact of Paid Social content.
  • High-level proficiency in Photoshop.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, problem-solving, and creativity daily, with a strong focus on driving performance through video content.
