We encourage you to think through your relevant and transferable skills from prior experiences.

Our new progressive work model is called PinFlex, a term that’s uniquely Pinterest to describe our flexible approach to living and working. Visit our PinFlex landing page to learn more.

Pinterest is having a moment. Over the last couple of years, we’ve been building a small but mighty UK Social team that’s at the forefront of driving buzz and meaningful connections with Pinners on our key channels, TikTok and Instagram. We’re now looking for a Social Community Specialist to act as the main voice of Pinterest UK on social. This person will positively engage on social  with everyone, from influencers and celebs to core users and potential new Pinners, plus help identify next-level Pinterest content and UGC that will smash it on social.

So, are you obsessed with digital and pop culture? Can you write funny, quippy copy captions in fewer than 5-6 words? Do you have your finger firmly on the pulse of TikTok trends, and what’s entering the Gen Z group chat? If this is you, get in touch!

What you’ll do:

  • Be the main voice for Pinterest UK across social media channels, engaging with our community via all social formats (i.e. comments, DM’s etc.)
  • Write copy for all community replies and interactions across our organic UK social media channels.
  • Uncover trends, topics, emerging conversations, creators, etc. that may present opportunities for engagement or content.
  • Track and evaluate conversations, sentiment and reach across community engagements.
  • Identify quality content on-and off-Pinterest (UGC) to amplify across Instagram and TikTok.
  • Ad hoc content creation; from copywriting memes to native video editing.

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years of social community experience and/or experience copywriting for an agency/brand/publisher.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Comms, Journalism or Marketing, OR equivalent experience.
  • Excellent English copywriting skills, especially humourous writing. Can easily flex their written tone of voice for a Gen Z and Millennial audience. Expert in writing quippy caption copy, in fewer than 5-6 words, at the speed of social culture.
  • Strong awareness of the social media landscape, and internet popular culture; able to identify trends, conversations and opportunities.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented spirit, with a history of successful cross-functional relationships to deliver results across teams (marketing, user support, product, PR, legal etc.)
  • Has a strong sense of urgency and can work at velocity; a self-starter who’s able to work independently.
  • Basic video and image editing skills for Instagram and TikTok.

In-Office Requirement Statement:

  • We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
  • This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration approximately 1-2 times a month, and needs to be in a commutable distance from our London office.
