Our Opportunity:

We are looking for a Software Engineer II (Plantation, FL) to design and build software components of services and/or platforms.

What You’ll Do: 

• Actively participate in the definition, design, development, testing and implementation of software functionality using an agile methodology.
• Build and modify scalable distributed software systems.
• Partner with stakeholders and technology teams on how best to implement desired features and enhancements.
• Ensure that technical solutions follow best practices, are reliable, are easily maintainable and are scalable under sustained load.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
• Collaborate to identify, isolate, and resolve malfunctions related to software.
• Create and evolve system-related documentation.
• Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to operational excellence.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field and 3 years of experience.
• Will also accept a Master’s degree and 1 year of experience.
• Experience must include 1 year with: java development;
• Developing SOAP / RESTful webservices in Java technology;
• Scrum/agile with exposure to Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Tools like Circle CI, Jenkins, Terraform;
• Object oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis;
• Test automation and various phases of testing (unit, functional, integration tests);
• Gather system and user requirements, build Java modules and testing features before release;
• SQL Server, Postgres SQL or Oracle;
• JavaScript libraries like Vue or React.
