Job Description

Huge is looking for a Solutions Engineer to join the Technology team in Colombia.  As a Solutions Engineer - DevOps, you will be responsible for defining and implementing cloud best practices for both our internal teams and clients, boosting productivity, enabling innovation, and reducing risks. This role will architect, communicate, manage, and implement cloud solutions across a wide variety of software applications, including web, mobile, experiential, and emerging technologies. This is a hands-on role, with the intent of growing this practice within Huge and with the goal of shifting into a management-level position as the team begins to scale.

What we’d like to see

  • Demonstrated proficiency and/or certification in the three leading cloud providers: AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Ability to architect and deliver a variety of continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) approaches using various tools such as CircleCI, Jenkins, Gitlab, Azure DevOps, etc.
  • Deep understanding of container-based approaches to server virtualization and clustering.
  • Demonstrated expertise in auto-scaling approaches, including vertical and horizontal scaling of both server resources and hosting infrastructure.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code approaches and tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, etc).
  • A solid understanding of the complete software development lifecycle and common patterns in the process and structure of teams.
  • Experience with version control systems, specifically Git.
  • Understanding of code branching strategies (GitFlow, etc).
  • Experience with agile methodologies and ceremonies.
  • Understanding of cloud costs and ways to efficiently manage them.
  • Ability to set up and manage Linux-based servers.
  • Impeccable time and self-management.
  • Excellent cross-discipline collaboration.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to align and educate team members at various levels.

What you’ll be doing

  • You are able to ensure the project team is meeting the objectives and goals of each project on-time and on-budget as well as championing the quality and integrity of the end result.
  • You monitor project risks and scope creep to foresee and identify potential problems then proactively identify solutions to address them in advance.
  • You identify needs that clients may not recognize and ensure approaches and solutions are linked to objectives and future needs.
  • You manage client expectations, ensure delivery of the highest quality service, and solicit and act on client feedback.
  • You communicate and document project status and strategic recommendations to clients and team members, escalating issues accordingly via the appropriate channels.
  • You proactively identify opportunities, deliver improvements, and follow project management methodologies and processes.
  • Experience working with Figma and the Google suite of tools is nice to have 
  • Interest in designing innovative new features, flows, and functionalities that impact billions of users.
