You will report to a Field Engineering Director in the region and work with a collaborative, customer-focused team that values innovation and creativity, using your skills to create customized solutions to help our customers achieve their goals and guide their businesses forward.

Notes on mandatory requirements:
- The location for the role must be in Amsterdam (or within a commutable distance for a hybrid schedule).
- Flexibility to travel (up to 20-30% as required for customer meetings, events and training).
- Business proficiency in both Dutch and English is required as a minimum. Fluency in additional regional languages may be advantageous.
The impact you will have:
- Learn from a Senior Solutions Architect and work with a team to sell Databricks solutions.
- Promote our platform to the technical community through workshops, events, and partnerships with the Databricks team.
- Gain hands-on experience by working on technical projects, understanding customer needs, and delivering solutions that solve their problems.
- Develop technical skills to work on data projects from ingestion to insight creation and prediction.
- Grow into an independent Senior Solutions Engineer by developing technical and pre-sales skills.
What we look for:
- Strong skills in effective communication, answering customer questions, aligning with their interests and achieving tangible results.
- Excitement for technical discovery, ability to gather requirements through effective questioning, research solutions, and present proofs-of-concept to an audience.
- Ability to identify and communicate the business value of technical solutions.
- Hands-on experience with a core programming language, Python or SQL. Apache Spark skills will be advantageous for the role.
- Knowledgeable in the Big Data Analytics domain with some exposure to advanced proofs-of-concept
- Hands-on skills with public cloud platform(s) - experience with the AWS (Amazon Web Services) platform is a key requirement.
- Cloud certifications in AWS and Databricks will be advantageous.
