The Senior Director of Strategy, Analytics and Planning is a strategic leadership position responsible for driving strategy planning and generating insights that drive marketing performance within the fast-paced Regional and Partner Marketing organization.

This role requires a strong blend of marketing expertise, project management skills, and team leadership abilities. An understanding of marketing and sales processes, methodologies, and tools, with a proven track record of success in developing & implementing standards for pipeline generation excellence.

Through deep-dives into key performance metrics, you will present key takeaways and make recommendations, provide data-driven insights and work with marketing leaders and other functions to make recommendations for improvements in our marketing mix.

You will work to boost the cohesion, focus, speed, and general efficiency of the marketing team. You will play an integral part in how we bring our solutions to market to life within the regions and through our partner ecosystem.

The role reports to the Vice President of Regional & Partner Marketing and is a remote position from anywhere in the US or Canada.

What you'll do: 
  • Scale: Build, with scale in mind, how the Marketing org operates and ships from strategy to execution while being efficient, organized, and solution-oriented. Identify and find efficiencies in how the cross-functional teams operate and prioritize.
  • Define and lead programs to ensure the vital tools and processes are in place to drive effective, winning programs.
  • Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the organization's marketing objectives, company priorities, and target audience. Collaborate with senior management to define objectives and key results and establish measurable goals as well clear marketing priorities.
  • Team Leadership: Champion a collaborative and results-oriented work environment, encouraging innovation and professional growth.
  • Program Management: Own the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing programs. Ensure projects are delivered on time, meet goals and high-quality standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the connective tissue between regional marketing, marketing analytics, operations and finance
  • Act as the right hand to the VP and leadership team for all things data and help develop the vital strategies to achieve ever increasing targets
  • Forecast, measure, analyze, and report on the impact of regional marketing on sales pipeline, revenue and conversion against the agreed pipeline goals
  • Lead strategic projects to help advise growth planning and operationalize select key initiatives.
What you bring: 
  • 12+ years previous experience in sales or marketing at a leadership level
  • Proactive and passionate operations leader who understands marketing’s role within the GTM strategy
  • Business analytics experience with past track record for leading projects such as: financial planning, funnel analysis, lead scoring models, marketing measurement models etc.
  • Ability to develop strong partnerships and drive a point of view on strategic priorities based on internal and external data
  • Strong communicator with ability to articulate, present and debate recommendations with all levels of management.

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary.  This role does not have a variable compensation component.  

The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below.  In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below. 

These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.  

An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program.  Our total rewards package also includes a company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings, along with a range of other benefits offered with a holistic emphasis on employee well-being.
