About the role
HashiCorp is seeking an experienced, creative, and self-motivated event manager with a passion for building experiences that engage, educate, and connect the developer community. This role will be responsible for working with internal stakeholders and vendors to build out key programs for our proprietary hybrid conferences, as well as provide event programmatic support cross-functionally with teams across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a track record of managing multiple scaling programs across events, and will be responsible for managing the programs end-to-end to ensure goals are aligned and that we are creating a seamless experience for attendees.
This is a full-time position and will report to the Manager of Events & Experiential Marketing.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Event lead for the internal Sales Kickoff (SKO) happening in February 2025
- Lead and support key programs at our proprietary conferences. (Program examples include: speaker program, sponsorship program, virtual production and broadcast, internal staffing program)
- Provide support on building out hybrid experiences to engage our key community and customer audiences
- Work closely with program stakeholders to ensure goals and timelines are being met
- Work in partnership with other event leads to ensure the programs are being seamlessly integrated into the conferences and have a cohesive feel and messages across them.
- Must have empathy and a deep love of the developer community and an ability to craft experiences for that specific audience.
- Write program specifications and be able to build upon them each year.
- Use project management software to manage all tasks leading up to, during, and post-event.
- Help to develop promotional plans and reporting on effectiveness to better inform planning
- Find opportunities and take initiative to improve efficiency and effectiveness of processes, resource allocation, and any aspects of the proprietary programs.
- Your responsibilities may shift as company priorities shift, so flexibility is critical for success.
You may be a good fit if you have:
- 6+ years of experience in event management, preferably in the B2B, high-tech space
- Experience with both in person events and virtual productions preferred
- Experience in vendor management (e.g. hotels/event venues, production/AV vendors, broadcast partners, creative agencies)
- Exceptional project management skills, detail-oriented, and ability to think and plan proactively and ahead of schedule
- Experience working in highly cross-functional organization, preferably in a remote capacity
- Ability to juggle multiple events and/or workstreams of high priority to execute on time
- Ability to communicate effectively and drive deliverables cross-functionally in a remote environment
- Experience in remote communication tools such as Slack and Google Drive
- Experience in project management tools such as Asana, Trello or Jira
- Keen business acumen. You will be representing the company at conferences, and making decisions on its behalf. Professionalism, insightfulness, and remaining calm under pressure are crucial.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to participate in travel; approximately 15% expected
- Start-up experience preferred

Individual pay within the range will be determined based on job related-factors such as skills, experience, and education or training.
The base pay range for this role in the SF Bay Area / NYC area is:$128,000—$150,600 USDThe base pay range for this role in Seattle Metro, Denver / Boulder Metro, New York (excluding NYC), Washington D.C., or California (excluding SF Bay Area) is:$117,400—$138,100 USDThe base pay range for this role in Colorado (excluding Denver / Boulder Metro) and Washington (excluding Seattle Metro) is:$106,700—$125,500 USD
