Sr. Manager, Product Management

As a Senior Manager, Product Management for Vault you will be responsible for leading a team of product managers shaping and driving the future of Vault - especially Vault Enterprise. This role is for strategic thinkers who like to lead people to understand and map market needs, and build product roadmaps to win with a compelling offering to deliver to those needs. You will drive the strategy to make Vault the leading provider of secret management and oversee execution across engineering, product and marketing. You will work closely with the Secure engineering team to support release cycles in order to continuously expand and support Vault usage, not only in on-premises environments but also support their journey to the cloud.
Responsibilities:- Lead a team of high performing product managers to create a market-leading Vault product
- Craft the product story by understanding the market landscape, user needs, and HashiCorp principles
- Define the roadmap by incorporating feedback from HashiCorp Secure practitioners, ecosystem partners, engineering, marketing, and the HashiCorp vision.
- Conduct user research and customer discovery work partnering with the design team to define and review design prototypes.
- Develop JTBD and Critical User Journeys in collaboration with the Design team for targeted Personas as part of the discovery process.
- Communicate product status to partners and leadership. Keep sales and marketing updated on feature releases and keep engineering informed on feature requests
- Work closely with sales and marketing collateral to educate on the product story and features (Website copy, whitepapers, sales decks, FAQs, etc)
- 7+ years of product management experience with developer, infrastructure or products
- 2+ years of people management experience
- Analytical horsepower: You dig deep into the data, think from first principles, and deliver the right results
- Customer and Partner facing experience: You’re comfortable in front of customers or third-party collaborators, and have experience navigating customer conversations
- Demonstrated success in implementing product strategies with drive and determination
- Operational rigor: You are strong operationally, capable of designing and driving across-functional team and process
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Individual pay within the range will be determined based on job related-factors such as skills, experience, and education or training.
The base pay range for this role in the SF Bay Area / NYC area is:$199,800—$235,000 USDThe base pay range for this role in Seattle Metro, Denver / Boulder Metro, New York (excluding NYC), Washington D.C., or California (excluding SF Bay Area) is:$183,100—$215,400 USDThe base pay range for this role in Colorado (excluding Denver / Boulder Metro) and Washington (excluding Seattle Metro) is:$166,400—$195,800 USD
