About The Role

The Finance team is seeking a Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting Senior Manager to support our accounting and reporting processes. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is interested in a broad range of responsibilities within a newly public company.  The role will allow you to gain exposure to SEC regulatory reporting requirements, technical accounting,, and internal controls within a hyper growth technology company.  A successful candidate thrives in a dynamic, fast-growing, and high energy company.

In this role, you can expect to…

  • Prepare SEC filings and financial statements, including XBRL tagging
  • Interpret U.S. GAAP accounting standards and SEC guidance to determine the accounting and financial reporting treatment
  • Draft and review technical accounting policy memos documenting accounting research and conclusions
  • Analyze peer filings and industry reports to assess trends in financial statement disclosures
  • Participate in Disclosure Committee meetings to ensure timely, complete, and accurate disclosures in SEC filings.
  • Manage the month-end close process, including preparation of monthly balance sheet recons, consolidated financial statements and flux analyses
  • Review equity-related disclosures, such as EPS, Equity Rollforward, and share-based compensation 
  • Review quarterly technical accounting estimates 
  • Monitor and revise policies and procedures as needed to ensure adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls over external financial reporting
  • Support annual audit and quarterly review activities with external auditors, including global statutory audits 
  • Manage the establishment of internal control processes to support business needs and SOX compliance requirements for an effective control environment
  • Document internal control processes, assist in testing operating effectiveness of controls, assist in remediation of control deficiencies, and coordinate and track the testing of internal controls
  • Manage internal representation and sub-certification processes  
  • Monitor and improve accounting and financial reporting procedures to strive for efficient workflows
  • Partner with cross-functional team members as we continue to scale the business
  • Other ad-hoc projects as required

You may be a good fit for our team if you have…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • Licensed CPA 
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in a financial reporting role in a public company or equivalent Big 4 public accounting experience 
  • Experience in a software and / or SaaS company 
  • US GAAP experience in ASC 320, ASC 350, ASC 718 and ASC 842.  ASC 606 preferred, but not required
  • Proven technical SOX skills
  • Hands-on experience in preparation of Financial Statements including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, and Equity-related disclosures
  • Very high attention to detail
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, and prioritize competing workloads
  • Should be able to work with flexible working hours
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, evaluative and problem-solving skills 
  • Expertise in MS Office Suite, particularly in excel functions
  • Experience with the G Suite, Netsuite and other major ERP systems and good experience in other integrated financial reporting tools (e.g. Workiva)
