Databricks is looking for a motivated Strategy and Execution Senior Manager to join our Deal Desk Transformation team that helps define Quote-to-Order (QtO) strategy and drive scalability. You will collaborate with stakeholders and senior management to ensure that processes support the overall business strategy. Managing stakeholder expectations and ensuring smooth implementation of process/system changes are key aspects of this role. You will be accountable for end-to-end transformation project lifecycle support, from strategic QtO process design, to requirements gathering through to post-release enablement and support, and everything in between.  You are a strategic thinker with a passion for driving change and continuous improvement. Your ability to manage resistance to change, lead cross-functional conversations, and influence stakeholders sets you apart. You are passionate to help us build a Deal Desk function with industry-leading business agility, process scalability and automation in an environment of rapid growth, The impact you will have:

  • Contribute to the QtC Strategy and build processes in place to ensure we have the right prioritizations at the right time, 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Strategy & Operations, Finance Data and Strategy (FDS), systems teams, and relevant stakeholders such as GTM, Legal, Order Management, Field Sales and Rev Rec to automate and scale our Quote-to-Order process.
  • Managing a roadmap of projects focused on enhancing our quoting, and bookings. Streamline the end-to-end Quote-to-Cash workstream, making it simpler for our sales team to close deals and ultimately delivering a consistent high quality customer experience.
  • You will document bottlenecks and points of failure to drive clarity of business requirements. You will use this information to validate the business impact of projects and ensure that the solutions are scalable and highly automated.
  • Be a trusted partner to the Strategy & Execution Leadership by being  independently capable of driving medium-to-large projects and initiatives
  • Design E2E operational performance improvement and scaling solutions, weaving together process redesign, operating model definition, automation, and/or AI levers to optimize your answer.  
  • Formulate your own key questions, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources to identify the highest impact opportunities and actionable insights. 
  • Define critical KPIs and performance management processes to ensure successful execution of operational transformations and continuous improvement. 
  • Conduct competitive assessments and benchmark against industry trends to incorporate into operational strategies 
  • Develop execution plans, including approach to people management transformation, and drive alignment with senior leadership.
  • Be self-driven, and show ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data. 

What we look for:

  • 8+ years of experience in a business analyst, operations strategy, tech quote-to-cash, or corporate strategy role (with a focus on operational performance). Experience at a top tier consulting firm is a plus. 
  • Ability and passion to analyze, set priorities, and solve complex problems.
  • You have advanced research and analysis skills that you can flex to address a complex problem and/or situation 
  • Propensity to summarize complex concepts and data and present clear information to executives, teams, and internal customers.
  • You demonstrate an advanced ability to define and break down ambiguous and complex business problems
  • You communicate complex ideas with authority, influencing stakeholders including Databricks executives and department leadership. 
  • Experience in the enterprise software industry, SaaS and B2B experience preferred.
  • You are a very comfortable and thrive in a rapidly scaling and dynamic startup environment
  • Process expert: Envision E2E process change to solve our needs, drive agreement, document requirements, guide execution in partnership with IT, perform UAT, and report on progress.

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
