The SENIOR NAND STRATEGIC PLANNER will play a critical role in shaping the future of our NAND flash memory strategy. This highly strategic role blends deep market analysis, customer insights, competitive intelligence, and cross-functional collaboration to define and influence our NAND sourcing and product strategies. You’ll work at the intersection of analytics, marketing, supply chain, and product planning, helping guide executive-level decisions with data-driven insights.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING...
Strategic Market Intelligence & Planning:
- Lead comprehensive market research efforts to understand trends in the NAND flash market, including supply and demand dynamics, pricing, technology roadmaps, and competitive positioning.
- Develop and maintain NAND market models and forecasts; evaluate scenarios and recommend strategic responses.
- Monitor industry shifts, customer needs, and geopolitical impacts to identify opportunities and risks.
Business & Product Strategy Alignment:
- Collaborate with global supply chain operations, product management and engineering to influence long-term product and sourcing strategy based on market trends and customer insights.
- Drive roadmap alignment between NAND supply strategy and business growth goals.
Supplier & Partner Strategy:
- Analyze supplier roadmaps and capabilities; contribute to supplier selection and development strategies.
- Partner with crossfunctional teams to align NAND supplier strategies with broader organizational needs.
Cross-functional Collaboration & Influence:
- Drive alignment between internal stakeholders across operations, finance, product, and supply chain.
- Prepare and present executive-level briefings with actionable insights and clear recommendations.
Analytics & Modeling:
- Use data tools and models to assess supply scenarios, pricing trends, and inventory strategies.
- Track KPIs and performance metrics to assess effectiveness of strategy and make data-driven adjustments.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE…
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in strategic planning, market research, product marketing, or related roles, preferably in semiconductor, storage, or high-tech industries.
- Deep understanding of NAND flash memory markets and ecosystem a major plus.
- Proven ability to turn complex data into clear business recommendations.
- Strong skills in market analysis, financial modeling, forecasting, and data visualization.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills with experience presenting to executive stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Proficiency in analytical tools (Excel, Tableau, SQL, Python a plus).
- Comfortable working in the Santa Clara office per company policy, with flexibility for business travel and meetings.
- We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
