YOUR MISSION

At Glovo, we are looking for a passionate detail- and results-oriented professional to join our global people controlling team at our headquarters in Barcelona. You will play a key role in helping the people controlling department achieve its vision of being the expert go-to department for all people-related questions. In doing so, you will be key in helping to build our reporting, to provide accurate and insightful information to stakeholders in a seamless way, while maintaining strict confidentiality at all times.

THE JOURNEY

  • Coordinate and ensure month-end closing calendar alignment with the payroll team and on-time delivery to the finance teams;
  • Settle and improve control processes empowering data accuracy and time efficiency
  • Create Guidelines and Playbooks for both Payroll and Accounting departments to take as a reference
  • Help build, re-structure and organize the data and reports needed in the People Controlling team to ensure timely, accurate and insightful reporting and analyses
  • Provide meaningful insights and support the monthly Global Personnel budget tracking (Actuals vs Budget) and variance analysis
  • Together with the rest of the team, run the annual Headcount Planning process, as well as monthly Best Estimate activities
  • Support the implementation of reporting solutions that facilitate the goal of automation and self-service
  • Support several stakeholders within Finance and People departments across the company with any ad-hoc requests

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
  • +4 years’ experience combined in Payroll and Finance, Audit or related Controlling fields
  • Proficiency in the English language
  • G Suite expertise (Sheets, Presentations), Office Suite expertise (Excel)
  • Experience in implementation of processes and procedures
  • A proven track record, strong business acumen, and an analytical and proactive approach to solving problems and managing data
  • The ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, with a sense of personal responsibility for delivering high quality work
  • An ability to work effectively as part of a team and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Hands-on profile and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Experience with Workday and/or SAP (Desirable)
  • Spanish language (Desirable)
