The Team & Role

 

Togai is a cutting-edge metering, rating, and usage-based billing platform. We provide businesses with a single, comprehensive solution to meter, rate, and bill customers for any pricing model. Togai was recently acquired by Zuora and we're seeking our first Product Manager to drive our product strategy and execution.

 

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Product Manager to join our team and lead the development of our metering, rating & usage-based billing platform. This role is critical in shaping the future of our product, translating market needs into feature sets, and working closely with engineering, sales, and customer success teams to deliver a world-class solution.

 

What you will own:

 

  • Product Strategy and Roadmap
    • Develop and maintain a clear product vision and strategy aligned with company goals
    • Create and manage a comprehensive product roadmap
    • Prioritize features and capabilities based on market demand, customer feedback, and business objectives

 

  • Market Research and Analysis
    • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes in the usage-based billing space
    • Analyze customer needs and pain points to inform product decisions
    • Stay updated on industry developments and emerging technologies

 

  • Requirements Gathering and Specification
    • Collaborate with customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements
    • Create detailed product specifications and user stories
    • Work closely with engineering to ensure proper implementation of features

  • Cross-functional Collaboration
    • Act as the primary liaison between engineering, design, sales, marketing, and customer success teams
    • Facilitate effective communication and alignment across departments
    • Collaborate with sales and marketing to develop go-to-market strategies for new features and capabilities

 

  • Product Launch and Lifecycle Management
    • Plan and execute product launches, including coordination with marketing for promotional activities
    • Monitor product performance post-launch and iterate based on feedback and metrics
    • Manage the entire product lifecycle, from conception to maturity

 

  • Data-Driven Decision Making
    • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the product
    • Use data analytics to inform product decisions and prioritization
    • Present data-driven insights to leadership to support strategic decision-making

 

  • Customer Advocacy
    • Engage directly with customers to understand their needs and gather feedback
    • Represent the voice of the customer in internal discussions and decision-making processes
    • Conduct regular customer interviews and surveys to validate product ideas and gather insights

 

Your experience:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; MBA is a plus
  • 3+ years of product management experience, preferably in SaaS or B2B software
  • Knowledge of API design and integration
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure and scalability concepts
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling software products
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to influence without direct authority

 

Good to haves:

 

  • Experience in fintech, billing, or subscription management platforms
  • Strong understanding of metering, billing or related financial technology concepts
  • Familiarity with data analytics and business intelligence tools
