THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Subscriptions Sales Consultant who’s focused on driving adoption and growing the business for Pure’s Evergreen//One and the Storage subscription in the India region. In this role, you are responsible for driving and supporting net new pursuits and field enablement. You will be part of a team providing product expertise, finance overlay from deal shaping standpoint, trusted advisor to the partner and customer , and the primary point of contact in the region representing the Evergreen//One business. The role requires very well rounded technical, commercial (financial modeling), and business acumen along with the ability to build strong relationships with the partners as well as with the customer base. You will assist in overseeing customer acquisition, onboarding, and adoption across the region while focusing on supporting the sales teams to expand the customer base. The role works closely with the Sales and the Partner organization in helping advance this business in India.

The Subscriptions Consultants are an integral part of the Global Sales organization. This position is an individual contributor role.

CENTRAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Drive adoption of Evergreen//One solutions across the customer segments working with the sales team as well as the partners. 
  • Engaging current and future customers in conversations about their business and technology service need to help them embrace their Digital business transformation needs.
  • Influencing infrastructure needs in Enterprise organizations...and identifying / building & designing / leading large-scale projects & programs.
  • Support the defining end-to-end Evergreen//One offerings, 
  • Engage senior leaders within Pure across various functions and teams, including our field facing the Account Executives and System Engineers community.
  • Enable, drive adoption of Evergreen//One methodologies and services via engagement with Pure Channel, Partner, and Strategic Alliances communities with a primary objective of driving recurring revenue.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • A ‘service’ first, consultative approach, working closely with strategic account teams and sales leadership.
  • A long view of business & technology strategy, investments, and innovation drawing on requisite IT and business management knowledge.
  • High insight in data and infrastructure technology; cloud automate-everything strategy; on-demand models.
  • An understanding of the 'table-stakes of an as-a-Service environment, including billing, invoicing, customer disputes, measurement, and reporting
  • Knowledge in Agile application development and DevOps models. Automation principles; infrastructure operations; project management.
  • An understanding of cross-functional pursuit teams on high-profile engagements, using a wide range of mediums (workshops, forums, industry panels) to educate internal sales teams and external constituents on strategy methodologies and industry trends.
  • Broad skills and knowledge when engaging with IT Operations, Engineering, and Architecture groups while working well in small, dynamic teams.
  • Agility in learning new business models, keeping up with the latest trends while articulating Pure's vision and how we will deliver to meet their aspirations.
  • We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Bangalore office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree (Computer Science or related field)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in IaaS, SaaS and Software industry, experience working with a Cloud or System Integrator (SI)
  • Strong command on IaaS/SaaS customer success with a proven track record of delivering results for customers. 
  • Broad knowledge - and curiosity of - IT industry trends in multi-national Enterprise organizations.
  • Solid technical background, including working knowledge of Storage, compute, database, networking, virtualization, and emerging technologies (New Stack, AI/ML Big Data analytics.
  • Experience with procuring and/or selling as-a-service models and related pricing structures is highly desirable. Financial model and understanding of P&L, Cash views, balance sheets fundamentals, etc is highly desirable
  • Proven ability to build executive-level relationships, including geographically dispersed teams.
  • Must demonstrate Excellent oral and written communication skills with a high degree of attention to detail, including broad utilization of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Ability to tell compelling stories and explain complex issues in simple ways.
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Sound business judgment and driving continuous innovation & thought leadership.
