Staff Product Manager (NPO Subscriptions)
Want to help us help others? We’re hiring!
GoFundMe is a global community of over 150 million people who come together every day with the common purpose of helping one another. Our mission is to help people help each other through our best in class technology. In 2022, GoFundMe joined together with Classy, a leading nonprofit fundraising software company that enables nonprofits to connect supporters with the causes they care about. Together, we have empowered people and organizations to raise more than $30 billion since 2010. Our vision is to become the most helpful place in the world.
Join us! We’re looking for a customer-obsessed, commercially savvy Staff Product Manager to own the NPO subscription packaging strategy designed to support a value-based journey for nonprofits using our platform. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role at the intersection of product, pricing, go-to-market (GTM), and data intelligence. You will build and scale the mechanics including how we design tiers, price functionality, build the product guidance and discovery framing and help nonprofits move up the value curve — all while protecting revenue and enabling both product-led and sales-led growth motions. You’ll work closely with Product, Design, Revenue Strategy, Sales, Marketing, and Data Science to drive outcomes that balance user experience with business growth.
Candidates considered for this role will be located in the San Francisco Bay Area and will be expected to go into the office 3 times per week.
The Job…
- Own the NPO subscription packaging strategy and roadmap, defining subscription tiers, feature gating, and upgrade paths across PLG, SLG, and PSLG motions.
- Lead pricing & packaging definition: Align with GTM and Finance teams to design a tiered subscription model that captures value without cannibalizing revenue.
- Define & track PQLs (Product-Qualified Leads): Partner with Data & Marketing to create trigger-based segmentation and lifecycle routing rules to Product, CX, Sales.
- Design for conversion loops: Shape the product experience to show value, nudge commitment, and create FOMO through growth mechanics
- Drive instrumented workflows: Identify key signals to route users intelligently (e.g., email flows, sales follow-up, or CX nudges).
- Align with Sales & Marketing: Create a shared GTM playbook for $0-to-paid flow, including objections handling, competitive differentiation, and performance tracking.
- Support experimentation: Define how we test and validate packaging and monetization changes without jeopardizing current ARR or bookings.
- Coordinate across teams: Influence without authority, lead stakeholder education, and be the cross-functional glue for PLG execution.
You…
- 4+ years of product management experience in SaaS or platform environments
- Growth experience in PLG , PSLG, SLG, and their layering
- Demonstrated success in pricing, packaging, or monetization strategy — especially subscription or freemium models.
- Strong grasp of conversion metrics, growth loops, and customer lifecycle design.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and driving cross-functional alignment across Sales, CX, Marketing, and Data.
- Systems thinker with an eye for instrumentation and feedback loops.
- Excellent communicator and storyteller; able to turn complex tradeoffs into crisp narratives.
- Strong communicator with the ability to bring people together to define a common vision and plan for action, present to senior leadership and drive delivery tracks.
- Humility, willingness to listen, collaborate and iterate.
