This person will partner with our payments engineering teams to deliver solutions to improve the productivity of Airbnb engineers. In short, you will get things done by bringing clarity out of chaos, diving into the details, and communicating clearly and promptly with the intended goal to keep projects on-track. In addition, you are good at building relationships, motivating others with vision, and persuading with data.

A Typical Day:

  • Develop a portfolio view of Payments programs and ensure leaders have sufficient visibility into execution status, issues, and decisions.
  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of large cross-functional initiatives aimed at increasing the productivity of our technical teams.
  • Apply a data-driven approach to measuring developer productivity and happiness to inform roadmap prioritization, intensely focusing on developer success.
  • Manage effective communication with stakeholders and across teams to ensure alignment and accountability.
  • Focuses on key priorities
  • Partner with developer teams to develop and enforce high quality internal documentation.
  • Acts without being told what to do; brings new ideas to the team
  • Collaborate with leadership to implement best practices and aligning on priorities across Payments
  • Moves quickly and takes a forceful stand without being abrasive

  • BA/BS degree, 9 years technical project management or relevant experience
