ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Staffing and Operations Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient resource management, staffing optimization, data and reporting and operational support in-region and globally. The position involves handling staffing challenges, managing escalations, and overseeing various operational aspects to enhance overall team efficiency. This is a global support role and will contribute to Purpose’s impact across our regional offices as a service provider, optimizing delivery teams, and providing business insights through reporting, while working with Senior Leadership and other key stakeholders to ensure efficient operations delivery across Purpose offices.
The ideal candidate is energetic with a positive, solutions oriented attitude. You have the ability to be flexible, pivoting from one task to the next while keeping your eye on driving long term work streams. You excel at prioritization, attention to detail, and balancing your workload with requests from the team members. You are also an excellent communicator, both in writing and verbally.
This is a full-time position offered at the Associate Manager tier with an annual salary range of ₹1,650,000 - ₹2,430,000 plus benefits and generous PTO. This role will be hybrid and Mumbai or Delhi-based with the expectation of up to 2 days in office per week for collaboration and support. The person in this role will report to the Senior Director of Operations, basedin New York. Given this is a role serving the global team, the person in the role is expected to work flexible hours, within reason.
Key Responsibilities:
- Global Resource Booking:
- Coordinate and manage the allocation of resources globally, ensuring optimal staffing levels.
- Work closely with Project Managers and department heads to proactively plan for future staffing needs.
- Lead team allocation meetings ensuring appropriate allocations across functions and APAC/Indonesia/India regions.
- Resource Management Platform (Kantata) Administration:
- Ensure the system is updated with accurate data and troubleshoot any issues.
- Conduct regular PTO audits and manage license requirements for the platform
- Provide global support on Kantata and resolve requests
- Enhance functionality/ customization of the platform
- Data Reporting, Monitoring and Analysis:
- Own and run monthly utilization report and maintain historical utilization data
- Address ad hoc requests
- India Staffing and Operations Support:
- Timesheet compliance and submission to Finance team
- Capacity planning
- Oversight Staffing problem solving
- Ad Hoc Requests and Support:
- Address ad hoc requests promptly and provide support for queries related to staffing and operations.
- Coverage for Resource Management team members.
- Operational support as required for India team
ABOUT YOU:
The right candidate for this role will have:
- 5+ years of professional or fellowship experiences in new business management, resource management, people analytics, etc;
- Proficient English writing and speaking skills;
- Familiarity with and knowledge of the development sector, and the key funders and partners operating within the Indian and/or global development space;
- Strong understanding of data analytics, reporting, and knowledge management systems;
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
- Proactiveness and proven problem-solving skills;
- Excited to support global teams and work with people from diverse backgrounds

- Proven experience with resource management tools and methodologies, demonstrating the ability to efficiently allocate and track resources across multiple projects.
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) with a track record of using these tools to track and present information and enhance collaboration.
- Advanced skills in Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis, to support data-driven decision-making and reporting.
- Self-driven with a proactive attitude, capable of independently managing tasks and projects, and effectively navigating challenges with minimal supervision.
