Role Description

The product strategy and operations function plays a critical role in unlocking the potential and enabling the success of the business development team to drive growth for Dropbox. The business development team is seeking a proactive individual who is passionate about delivering strategic initiatives and continuous process improvement to support the team. You will be pivotal in enhancing the team’s operating efficiency in this highly visible role working with cross-functional team members and senior leaders internally and externally.

Core areas of impact are Operational Excellence, Team Effectiveness, Strategic Direction, Solutions Development, and Product Craft. More details are in the responsibilities section below.

Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Drive the team’s operating rhythm within the company’s framework, such as the annual planning cycle, quarterly OKRs, weekly/monthly/quarterly business reviews, and partner finance/performance reporting.
  • Team Effectiveness: Enable the team to accomplish their goals and hit their targets effectively and efficiently. Create and implement high-quality, scalable processes, workflows, frameworks, and templates that the team can use off-the-shelf. Partner with the leadership team to facilitate meetings and offsites.
  • Strategic Direction: Ensure the team is focused on delivering the company strategy. Find the connection points internally for the business development team to interlock and accelerate go-to-market opportunities.
  • Solutions Development: Act as an internal consultant and problem solver for the team on ad hoc data analysis, business case, investment proposal, and presentations. Offer insights and guidance to support team success.
  • Product Craft: Work with product and engineering to identify product market fit in partner solutions, align partner product roadmaps, and iterate on user journeys. Contribute to technical and product discussions / specifications that meet customer needs and business objectives.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in operations, finance, and business management with planning, reporting, and monitoring expertise.
  • 3+ years of experience in management consulting or in an external client/partner-facing role.
  • 2+ years of experience working with product and engineering in a tech company.
  • General understanding of business priorities and impact of decisions on business performance.
  • Proven track record of using data, analytics, research, and experimentation to drive hypotheses, priorities, trade-offs, and results.
  • Empathetic to users’ experiences and passionate about creating elegant, delightful products. 
  • Strong organization and project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities, move projects forward, and drive outcomes in ambiguous, undefined situations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to flex based on audience (e.g., executive team). Distill and simplify complex concepts.
  • Relationship-building and influencing skills with demonstrated history of delivering projects cross-functionally, collaborating within a team, and being resourceful in finding the right information and stakeholders.
  • Motivated, self-directed, and confident individual contributor who can thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Natural curiosity and eagerness to learn.
Total Rewards

Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation.  We target most new hire offers between the minimum up to the middle of the range.

Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

Current Salary/OTE Ranges (Subject to change):• US Zone 1: $166,700 - $196,100 - $225,500.• US Zone 2: $150,000 - $176,500 - $203,000.• US Zone 3: $133,400 - $156,900 - $180,400. Dropbox uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. Current US Zone locations are as follows:• US Zone 1: San Francisco metro, New York City metro, or Seattle metro• US Zone 2: Austin (TX) metro, Chicago metro, California (outside SF metro), Colorado, Connecticut (outside NYC metro), Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York (outside NYC metro), Oregon, Pennsylvania (outside NYC or DC metro), Washington (outside Seattle metro) and Washington DC metro• US Zone 3: All other US locations
