We’re looking for an experienced Strategy & Operations Program Manager role to support the Marketing research (Brand Research) team at Pinterest. This role will work directly with our Director of Marketing Strategy and Operation and with the Director of Brand Research, and will offer a unique opportunity for operational leadership and impact directly at the company level. This position focuses on leading strategic projects/initiatives, coordinating efforts across teams, and providing support in areas such as vendor on-boarding, legal partnerships, project management, and knowledge management. The ideal candidate will have the chance to work closely with senior executives, collaborate cross-functionally, and grow their career by honing their operational leadership skills and expertise in research processes and program management. 

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with our Marketing research team to define program requirements, priorities, and define both short-term and long-term strategic roadmaps for research operations. 
  • Identify and prioritize operational pain points and develop new processes from the ground in the research process, using data, context, and execute the implementation of strategic, scalable solutions. 
  • Work cross-functional teams across marketing, comms, research, data analytics, and product marketing to create new programs, align efforts, share best practices, and execute ambiguous strategic projects for maximum operational and research impact.
  • Develop and implement a robust reporting program to disseminate key information about research outcomes to ensure key executive leadership are informed and to streamline collaboration between stakeholders. 
  • Streamline, standardize, document processes, and set up a program for ongoing management across the research team with the goal of minimizing operational debt.
  • Establish effective and transparent communication channels to keep stakeholders at all levels of the company informed about roadmap, research schedules, priorities, status, OKRs, and risks.
  • Manage responsible investment and resource allocation (headcount and budget) for across the Growth Marketing organization.

What we’re looking for:

  • 7+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business operations, or in a technology/media company; mandatory 2+ years of program management experience in the research field.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial mindset and exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to spearhead and guide new initiatives independently, even in uncertain circumstances, while minimizing the need for supervision.
  • Expertise in research operations, knowledge management, and process improvement.
  • Experience working with diverse and dispersed teams, preferably across multiple geographic regions.
  • Possess a solid technical background and aptitude to quickly comprehend technical systems, challenges, and risks. Demonstrated ability to break down complex problems and facilitating decision-making processes.
  • Previous experience in marketing ideal, although not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior leaders and stakeholders within a large, matrixed organization.
  • Proficient in promptly and proactively adjusting to changing priorities with agility.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, comfortable conveying intricate and often technical concepts to internal stakeholders or external partners.
  • Ability to influence teams and foster alignment among multiple stakeholders.
