The Supply Chain Project Manager is responsible for managing Supply Chain activities as they relate to the companies various Programs, Customers, Projects, etc.  This position reports to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain Program Management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain supply chain master tracker/timing for various projects/programs
  • Work cross functionally with engineering, commodity managers, supplier development engineers, and program managers to ensure supply chain program deliverables are identified, met and escalate any possible timing issues that would require mitigation plans to be established
  • Work with internal teams to regularly review and report out on Bill of Material (BOM) updates/changes that can impact cost, quality, delivery, program timing, etc.
  • Ensure purchasing and sourcing activities are in line with program objectives, driving the coordination of commodity strategies with the goals of the individual programs
  • Facilitate and lead cross-functional meetings with our various supply partners  to ensure supply chain activities are kept to program timing
  • Act as lead customer interface on behalf of supply chain at the working level
  • Represent Supply Chain at a variety of reviews related to program launch (sourcing committee, design review, launch readiness review, program review, etc.)

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree required, prefer course of study in supply chain management, business or engineering
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must have solid understanding of supply chain activities as they relate to program launch and demonstrated ability to gather, analyze various data points to formulate recommendations
  • Must have advanced skills in Excel and be proficient in other software programs (MS Word, Power Point, etc.)

 Preferred Requirements:

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience
  • Prior experience leading teams, including cross-functional teams
  • Global experience, especially AP, EU and Mexico
  • Ability to read, and comprehend technical documents (drawings, specs, engineering changes, etc)

At Luminar, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays a base between $83,000 and $117,000 per year. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. You will also be eligible to receive other benefits including: equity in the form of restricted stock unit awards, comprehensive medical and dental coverage, 401k plan, life and disability benefits, flexible time off, paid parental leave, and tuition reimbursement for formal education related to advancing your career at Luminar. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire and schedule type.
