We’re looking for a sharp, proactive, and highly organized early-career professional to support the operations that make Appian training successful. If you’re a recent graduate with a strong academic track record, exceptional communication skills, and an interest in operations, project coordination, and enablement, this is your chance to make a real impact.
You’ll help manage the logistics, systems, and communications that power our training programs—learning the ropes of corporate enablement along the way and contributing to continuous improvement.
This role is based at our Headquarters in McLean, VA. Appian was built on a culture of in-person collaboration, which we believe is a key driver of our mission to be the best. Employees hired for this position are expected to be in the office 5 days a week to foster that culture and ensure we continue to thrive through shared ideas and teamwork. We believe being in the office provides more opportunities to come together and celebrate working with the exceptional people across Appian.
What You’ll Do:
- Be a go-to resource for our learners by responding to training-related questions from employees, customers, and partners.
- Manage enrollment for public and private training courses, including registrations and payment processing.
- Coordinate training logistics such as scheduling sessions, booking rooms or virtual spaces, and ensuring all materials are in place.
- Maintain organized tracking of learners, cohorts, and certification program participants.
- Support measurement efforts like surveys and feedback loops to help improve instructor quality and training effectiveness.
- Help administer our internal Learning Management System (LMS), keeping course content current and user experiences seamless.
- Monitor employee progress on required training, generate reports, and follow up as needed.
- Assist with monthly financial reporting and revenue tracking for our training offerings.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and propose ways to streamline or automate operations.
What We’re Looking For:
- A recent graduate (or early-career professional) with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Psychology, Education, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills—you can explain things clearly and professionally.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills; you're comfortable juggling tasks and staying on top of details.
- Curious and proactive mindset with a desire to learn, take initiative, and solve problems independently.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, collaborative environments—especially in virtual or global teams.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel/Sheets and PowerPoint/Slides.
- Interest in business operations, learning enablement, or program management.
Why This Role?
- Get hands-on experience in corporate learning, business operations, and stakeholder engagement.
- Join a high-performing team with a strong culture of collaboration, innovation, and impact.
- Opportunity for growth through mentorship, training, and exposure to strategic projects.
- Help shape the learner experience at a company that’s transforming how organizations work.
Preferred but Not Required:
- Previous internship or part-time experience in a business, education, or operational role.
- Exposure to Learning Management Systems (LMS) or CRM tools.
