The Role: How you'll make an impact at Personio

This position will be office-based in Munich, Madrid or Dublin (hybrid).

We’re looking for someone to join our Tech Partnership team to help us scale our integration ecosystem and improve our partner’s experience on our platform. This individual will be fluent in various Integration methods (Rest API, SKDs, oAuth.), carry strong project management skills & be passionate about developing stellar partner/developer experience. The core mission will be two-fold:

  • Solidify our strategic integration - Work with our top partners to level up our most used integration as our API platform expands significantly in 2024. 
  • Scale our ecosystem  - Rethink our new partner onboarding with a programmatic mindset to transform into a full self-service motion alongside our Product & Engineering group.

This role reports directly to the Head of Product Partnerships. It will be the third team member holding that role, therefore instrumental in shaping our team’s future (Culture, Processes, Strategy) as well as overall partner ecosystem. In their daily work this person will work closely with our commercial Partnerships function as well as Product, Engineering, Sales & Solution engineer.

Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

  • Technical liaison for strategic integration - Being the primary day to day technical liaison for Personio’s top partners across their developer journey:
    • Work closely with partner Product team to influence the roadmap and expand integration scope.
    • Scope out and document the needs, requirements and limitations of upcoming integration.
    • Investigating and resolving escalated issues and offering troubleshooting for Strategic partners.
    • Advise our partners on our current and future API functions and methods.
  • Manage Personio Marketplace new partner Onboarding:
    • Evaluating new potential integration partners aligned with Personio’s integration strategy, and in close collaboration with our customer facing teams.
    • Carrying out technical QA (Functional, UX, Security) assessments for new integrations.
    • Develop tools and procedures that help scale marketplace submission and approvals.
  • Be an expert & Advocate on Personio APIs:
    • Work closely with PM, Eng and product expert team to understand how partners can best use & improve our APIs to further drive customers organization efficiency.
    • Drive early adopter program to maximize adoption & leverage of our latest AP platform functionality.
    • Championing the role of the ecosystem and partner experience within Personio. 
    • Communicating the details and strategy of Personio's ecosystem to both engineering teams and non-technical client teams.

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

  • You’ve done this before - 5+ years supporting technical partnerships and integrations, developer relations, or similar technical role with external stakeholders; CS background preferred
  • You are technically savvy - Strong understanding of software development, and needs of the development community — you don’t need to write production-ready code in this role, but understanding of the web technology stack (oAuth 2.0, JS, Web service technologies and RESTful APIs, Software Architecture) is required.
  • You are Partner centric - You understand how to present our value proposition to other SaaS companies and 3rd party developers to encourage them to integrate with Personio.
  • You have a strong product sense - Strong product sensibility, and comfort with considering high-level technical feasibility of partner integrations & API architectures to meet what users want and need. Familiarity with FinTech systems, payroll, ERPs, and CRM is considered an advantage. 
  • You are an operator & scaler - Comfortable creating new workflows with adaptable systems and processes in a fluid environment driving project from concept to delivery.
  • You navigate organization seamlessly - In-depth experience operating within cross-functional teams (product, Eng, and partner marketing and CX) internally and within partner organizations, including with senior stakeholders.
  • You communicate very well - Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with fluency in English and German or Spanish.
  • You are a critical thinker - Ability to identify and act on topics of urgency.
